custom Wesco Boss

Murdered out! Very stylish.
It's my first pair of Wescos and definitely worth the price. I do love my Red Wings, but there's something definitely special when you see it in person and have it on your feet.

I like Danner Quarry. If you need a solid outdoor construction boot, these boots tick all the right factors that go into delivering a great work boot experience, more here https://bootsgeek.com/danner-quarry-review/

Not the best shot, my almost 3 year old RW Iron Ranger 8085's

For being only 3 years in, these still look almost new.
Get out there and change a transmission once in awhile–-they'll get some patina -
I keep all of my boots together and have tried to capture them in one image . . .

Get out there and change a transmission once in awhile–-they'll get some patinaI care for them very often and never let them get dirty! I also rotate between the 875 and the Postman IR. I lost my ACL 2 years ago in a nasty Downhill MTB accident and since then the IR's get very little usage as I find them too unforgiving when walking and uncomfortable for me injured leg. My 875 need a resole and these days I wear the IR's a lot! Yes, you are correct and they indeed look pretty new'ish despite being 3 years old.

Have you tried using Gel insole maybe? They do a nice job as far as the walking comfort goes.
ACL's are no joke and they take a long time to heal. I tried keeping my 8085's as clean as I could, until one time I went into the woods mushroom hunting. They got so scratched up that I just gave up trying to keep them nice. Now they are looking beat up and worn–-But I like it now.
To each his own:) -
Do you have a recommendation for one such Gel insole? I haven't tried them, may be they could do the help that I need!

Any of the Scholl inserts are fine IMHO.
You can find them easily online…by Amazon..your local stores.
Just Google that -
Yep, had the chance today to visit a local shoe store nearby and got these on my IR's.
The shoe is pretty snug now, hope it will loosen a bit after few days, but they are much more comfortable now for my left leg. I will put it to test tomorrow when I walk!

After some wear they usually compress enough to be more comfortable than snug.
Hoping they improve your comfort while walking–-If it is still snug after some time, you can always try smaller sizes. enjoyNice bit of GAH there btw.

I like Dr Scholls Ultracool insoles when it comes to insoles I have tried many. I don't think these are gell but gell doesn't let your feet breathe very well either. These have air holes all through them for air to circulate and help keep feet cool.
These are the best I have found. Very comfortable.

So I was able to con Giles into letting go of a pair of Packers for a song (an early prototype of the IHWE-Build 2 I presume) in Brown Domain over double mids, Brown outsole stitching and 705s.
The leather seemed a little thirsty so I did a little cleaning and dry brushing and got them looking pretty good:
But I wanted to quench their thirst and give them a little shine…
So boot cleaner, mink oil, dry brush and shine cloth later...

Thanks!!
I also dressed the edges, let them soak in the sun a bit to open the grain and then brushed them in pretty well.
I still have not put them on my feet - hope they fit haha [emoji23]

Getting em lined up for a mid Winter clean and polish.
RW, RW, Sendra, Mezcalero.
Hard to find boots for us gents with petite feet. I'll eventually get some custom Wescos when I make it back home to the PNW next time, but who knows when that will be.
