Congrats @mstrsnkr I have two pairs on the black oil tanned leather, one similar to yours and one rough out pair on the Boss toe. It is incredible stuff. Insanely rugged, fantastic water resistant capabilities, and while very stubborn it keeps getting better with a little bit of care and a lot of wear.

One additional thing I’d like to add is that this is my 2nd pair of Boss boots.
My first pair I wore for 10+years, despite them being half a size too large. Mostly, I just wore them when riding my motorcycle, but the incorrect sizing always bothered me. I think I was waiting to go to Scapoose and be properly fitted before buying another pair. Needless to say, in 2020 with covid raging, I still havent made it out to the factory. I did, however, feel comfortable with the sizing, thanks to buying a pair of Jobmasters from Iron Heart UK. After realizing that Im a perfect 10.5E, I was all out of reasons to wait any longer.
These Boss above are not full custom, I might add, but rather a remake that was based on a pair of stock boots I bought from Ship John. They literally came in from them and I shipped em right back up to OR, with a few conversations to the remake/custom dept at Wesco I was buckled in for a 6 week wait. It was so worth it.
I still intend to visit the factory someday, and still want a custom fitting to ensure my measurements are on file. I reckon I’ll wait for the right time, and until then enjoy wearing these and dream about some custom Morrisons in my future. What a company, what a product.

When I was wearing the last pair of Boss boots, I rode a bunch of different bikes: old Honda CB's, Suzuki 650's, KTM Supermotos, a beautiful Harley, and finally the one that I t-boned into a truck, my beloved BMW F800. May she RIP.
These boots will probably outlast all those bikes, and still be ready for resole should the need arise.
As I start to think about a pair of custom Morrisons, I wonder how many of you in the forum have done a pair of these? I'm thinking something very understated, basically a pair of super dialed in ropers. Probably brown leather, brown edge dye, 430's again, and buckskin lined. If you have anything along these lines, I'd sure love to see some pics!!!!

I have a pair of custom Morrisons. 10 inch height, british tan, and a 700 sole. This is an older picture but I can assure you they keep getting better with age.

Thanks @Palmer !
Fun fact - in my younger days (25 years + ago) when I worked as a journeyman lineman, I climbed in Wesco Highliner's. Best work boots I ever owned and still have them sitting in my gear bag. I've thought about having them refurbished for nostalgic value. Just might do that some day and post some before and after shots.
Even though I've long since left field work for office life, I still enjoy wearing work boots. The above pair is my third purchase in the last year and I just placed an order for a fourth.

I love the burlap… love how it ages too. I enjoy the way the stitching stands out on yours. The detail and complexity really stands out.
Getting your highliners re-furbed sounds like a brilliant idea. Maybe make som changes so they can be better used in "civilian" life?
My collection of Wesco's is also growing fat and bloated. I just ordered my latest pair of Boss. Deets later on.

And they are great on shingle, sand and hard rock - which is what I am walking on when fishing in the summer, but they are rubbish on wet muddy slopes, which is what I normally fish on in the winter, so these will be by winter wellies….
