PIH10ANT - 22oz Sanforized Indigo Selvedge Slim Tapered Cut Jean
-
Hands down, the best pants ever. Back pocket wore through and crotch is thinning, so have a pair of 555-XHS on the way to rotate and extend their life. Measurements almost identical except for a higher rear rise, so here’s hoping I love them just as much.
Then in a few months going to try and wear a pair of 666-19L for a year for the indigo invitational that I have no hope of winning because I’m incapable of creating high contrast fades. Really was just an excuse to buy a pair and stash a pair.
Also, snuck into my company’s promo vid in full Iron Heart

I usually wear 555's, which I am happy with. but I have just taken a punt on a pair for sale on ebay and they arrived today.
They have had one soak, have hardly been worn, unhemed and I must say they are a fantastic fit…. plenty of room in the thighs and top block, with the bottom of the leg being wider than the 555
my question is... which standard cut are these based on?
It might make me re-evaluate my choice of cut on future purchases :-\

Haha… it is the perfect slim tapered cut, isn’t it. I have these and love them. A little more generous in the leg than the 555 and a better fitting top block (on me, at least), and without the low rise of the 777. Plus the 22oz denim is fekkin glorious.
The bugger is that it is it’s own cut. It was designed for Pronto by Haraki-san as the IHxPronto slim tapered cut. There have been a number of iterations down the years, and it has been a while since the last one. Hopefully they will be done again sometime soon, but it is Pronto’s call I believe.
The closest existing cut is the 777 in my opinion, but as stated, the rise is a tad lower on the 777.

I knew you'd know the answer @neph93
I totally agree about the 22oz… they feel so much more compliant and not as weighty as 21's for some reason?
perhaps its because the pair are have a preworn? As I don't own any 777's, I've had nothing to compare them with. I think on my next purchase i'll order both my usual 555's and some 7's at the same time... that way I can truly see which are the best fit for me!
Lets hope for a new version... 21oz indigo od's perhaps??

A rare case for Odessa in recent years. Snow in winter. And the temperature is below zero.
I have been wearing Iron Heart PIH10ANT-RAW 22OZ since November.
In the past season, quite a bit turned out to wear them.
Hopefully in the spring they will delight you with a beautiful fade after washing.
In the meantime, they are so happy, just warm and very comfortable in them.I liked the denim on these jeans so much that I also bought Iron Heart PIH10ANS-RAW 22OZ. Let them be just in case

This pair looks great @MrZdexter, and I agree that this is some of the best denim Haraki-san has ever designed. I hope it makes a return in the future.
Btw, have a look at the IH-526-22 and IH-526-22OD. Both type III jackets made of the same stuff.

My pair of these was purchased a year and a half ago but got sidelined while I worked on the IH-555-SST. I’ve been wearing them again and they are ready for their first proper wash after about 100 days proper wear. When I flipped them before the wash I saw the cool effect that the indigo creates with the brown weft on the reverse side of the fabric at the honeycombs:

The interior honeycombs are trippy!
