I may be a tad biased, but this IS the best version…..No argument....
I'd say without a doubt you are correct! I have always loved those!

That month window makes me irrationally angry.

I dont disagree with it being unsightly but I think if you could see the day window, it would look at least somewhat balanced:

Oh yeah, I missed that. You're right- I dislike it a lot less now.

Worn and Wound have a story that Squale are doing a run of Fifty Fathoms
knockoffshomages. They are actually using original Blancpain cases into which they have installed a modern ETA movement. They are available from the Amsterdam Watch Company.

Anyone else a watch freak here? Def fits the denim fetishist model…
I'm a G-Shock whore personally.

I love them.
My day to day watch used to be a Breitling Chromomat until I met up with DougNG in New York, he was sporting a Riki Watanabe. I had to have one, so I put it on my birtday list, and hey presto Paula came up with the goodies. I love it and think that it is a perfect jeans watch:
And yes Landocal, that is an IHSH-06
I also have a 1954 Patek Philippe manual calatrava and a 1970's Jaeger-LeCoultre manual complication (dunno why, I never wear either, but Hectic, I guess that is exactly your point)
Can you tell me the brand name of watch?

Trusty and much loved IWC Spitfire Chrono.
Had this about eight years now. Seen a lot of wear and abuse. Love it everytime I look at it. Needs a service though [emoji51]

Omega have just announced an updated Speedmaster, which benefits from a Master Chronometer movement.

Looks nice, but there's been a bump in the price.

Oris have just launched a third Carl Brashear watch. This time it's got their new in-house movement and and Erika's Originals strap. It looks good. It's a limited edition of 2000, with a pricetag of $4200.

I really like the look of it and the 5 day power reserve sounds really good….but 4k for an Oris is pushing it.
