What's your favorite Beer?

It's weird (read: idiotic)… I love my hoppy beers, but can't roll with a hoppy barleywine...
It's why I buy stuff like this: https://untappd.com/b/to-ol-my-honningkage-is-bigger-than-yours-ba-reserve-edition-2020/4010006
It's too strong, too spicey, double barrel aged, OUTRAGEOUSLY expensive; and that's how I like my barleywines…

I was sort of surprised by it. I certainly enjoyed it, but the hops, and lack of power and more balanced profile than is typical with BW’s, was odd. Not what I signed up for but I’d do it again.
On the while I really like Northern Monk. This was spectacular:
And this may actually be the greatest dessert stout I have ever had. Go and get some if you can:

Chris. Got a caramella in the cellar. Maybe it will age well. Hopefully.
It probably will improve with age. Everything about it was just a bit too much. Some time on the shelf would likely mellow it out and make it more enjoyable.

Chris. I hope you are right. Will give it some time. Some highlights from the weekend.

@Anesthetist … did that port BA Tsjeeses still hold up?.. I don't drink Struise brews anymore cause the main brewer and his fanboys annoy me to say the least...

My expectations were low, but actually it did hold up really well. I hadn’t seen it in a very long time but I’m pretty sure this is the same stock I bought from years ago. I wont take another risk and buy the last bottle he had, but it was a good trip down memory lane.
