Thank you! @chiverus
Exactly the conclusion I came to about six or seven years ago, haven’t looked back.
Welcome to the forum, they are some great pieces you’ve snagged. Jacket next? [emoji6]
I've had my eye on the 526L for awhile. Some awesome fades in that thread.. Once the wallet recovers perhaps
-
welcome @Visceral ! congrats on getting a nice blend of staples and modern day classics!
-
My next steps I guess would be to buy a jacket and unload that pair of too tight XHS for something else. You have a nice community here and glad to have found it. Although my wallet disagrees.
Welcome. I like everything about those last three sentences. The first and last one sound awfully familiar, and I appreciate the second one.
What jackets are you eyeing?
Eying the overdyed type 3 and the inidgo/black. My too small 777 are indigo/black. Love the look of the fabric.

Both great jackets. The IH-526j-142ib seems like a great combination of cut, material and colour.
I’m a big fan of the OD type III’s. The original 21oz over dyed was my first IH type III about five years ago and I recently picked up a new one, the IH-526j-22OD. It is out of stock at the moment but it is an excellent bit of kit. The 22oz takes the OD differently to the 19oz LHT, giving a more matte texture and a deeper black colour.

I wanted that 526J-22OD soooooooo badly!! And since it was out of stock–I decided to go with the 526PJ.
No regrets at all, in fact Im loving this jacket very much.
But cant help to wonder if I still might pick up the 22OD somewhere down the line.
ive seen the question asked a few times here...how many type 3s are too much?
im not sure---but my collection is slowly growing -

I honestly feel like I could own a Type 3 for every day of the week and that wouldn't even be enough.

Adding the recent 526PJ brings my current count up to 5
2 more and ive got a weeks worth. -
@dinobarnesberlin - you already have the work week covered - now you can get crazy for the weekend models

I know that an OD version is out there with my name on it !

Hi all,
took the plunge a few weeks ago and bought a pair of 666S-21 and IHSH-220-IND, very happy with both items. And super impressed by the excellent service by Graham. So impressed that I ordered IHSH-33B for I which I will happily wait until this Brexit shambles has been solved.
Live in Bavaria and, as you might have guessed, enjoy all sorts of weird music, so hopefully I will be inspired by the music thread in here, besides the clothing of course

Welcome to the forum. Great items to start with and I like the Can reference in your username. Good to have you aboard.

Hello, I made my mind and officialized my presence on this forum. I'm a new member to you but I've been stalking the forum since my first IH order in 2017.
I've been in denial since then, order after order, trying to convince me it wasn't so bad, luring myself into believing that I could stop anytime.
Yesterday was the day I accepted myself as I am, an IH addict, so I decided to finally create an account on the forum. I mean I drink my coffee every morning into a IH forum mug, and own some IF forum tshirts…About me : Born and raised in France, moved to Canada 10 years ago. Photographer and aspiring musician.
Special power : answering emails from IH staff in bed when waking up, and realizing after my coffee that my English skills don't wake up at the same time I do. Kuddos to IH for their ability to understand such emails.

First time poster, relatively long time buyer and lurker.
Bought into Iron Heart in 2017, after drooling over studio shots. Receiving and opening my first brown bag, the clothing inside was absolutely unreal - unlike anything I’d bought before. I fell in love then and there, and I soon replaced nearly everything I owned with an Iron Heart variant.
I’ve made costly mistakes along the way, trying different cuts until finding what worked for me, having to sell pieces on etc., but I’m sure everyone here has had that.
Truth be told, I’ve tried to hold off on purchases for a little while. You get what you pay for, and Iron Heart is the dog’s bollocks for quality… and I have poor impulse control. I convinced myself that I could substitute things with different, cheaper (still decent) brands. Yeah, you can… but you’ll never be happy having to settle for second or third best.
I have a firmer idea what I like, what fits, what I already have, what I don’t need, so on and so forth now.
The wife knows of my expensive tastes, and she’s understanding while also keeping me in check. She knows what’s inside those green mailer bags now...

Thanks @neph93
I say “understanding”, she is, but… She doesn’t know about every purchase
