You deserve to grin just like the cat in your signature pic. -
Thanks guys!
@henry_david if you'll agree to send me a proof of life photo of your jeans, mail them to me with signature confirmation, and put $25 in the pocket so I can mail them back to you with insurance and a signature confirmation… I will agree to sew your patch on for you. Just send me a PM.

Killer job on that patch stitching dude ! I neet to get myself an awl .

Make sure to get the newest one that has the thread tensioning device on the side. Mine is older than me, and I got it second hand in the 80s when I was in Scouts.

I just ordered 2 pieces of black 1.3 mm Horween CXL so I can make a "gun pocket" to sew into the lining of my Fine Creek jacket… I have a 10 prong chisel I purchased to perforate new IH leather patches and am gonna use that to make sort of a 1 inch deep 3-dimensional inside pocket.
I have a curved sewing needle so I can sew the pocket onto the liner without having to remove it.
I want to make sort of a box shaped pocket like the ones on those German moleskin pants. But not as deep. Maybe like 5 inches deep?
I'll let everybody know how I get on when the stuff arrives.
-
I support and admire your willingness to put the needle to your fantastic FCL jacket.

The fabric liner of my FCL jacket, not the leather. It doesn't have any pockets other than the 2 chest pockets, internal or otherwise.

I'm pleased to report that the ani-squeak surgical procedure on my Vibergs has worked.
I drilled into the sole on about a 45 degree angle in 2 spots and injected a couple CCs of boot oil into the hole.

My beloved 634S are 3 yrs old and need some repairs. Unnecessary to say it needs to be in style.
Any suggestions?
-
Thanks @Chap and I'm sure this would be done excellent in Gosport. However, since shipping can be a little unreliable and time-consuming* I was more hoping for suggestions how to get it repaired at my local alteration shop. They would just need to know what to do …
- One of my deliveries from Gosport is still held in German customs since March 18th.

I’m guessing that for the time being the crotch area is holding up. While the spots you showed seemed minor to me, if they’re bothering you then by all means have them repaired. I also think it would be totally worth whatever inconvenience to have it done by IH. Just my 2 cents. Good luck!

Your jeans, your choice @endo but if they were mine the only one I’d fix would be the back pocket. The wear on the fly and the busted thread aren’t structural problems. If you want a repair that is difficult to see then you may need a denim specialist, but again, if they were mine I would put a patch on the inside of the pocket and do some sashiko by hand to fix it.

I only would fix the loose thread on the front pocket… that would madden me
You're in Germany right @endo DC4 in Berlin offers a top notch denim repair service or you can ask @Iron Heart Germany
