IH-666-XHS - 25oz Selvedge Denim Slim Straight Cut Jeans - Indigo

what you think… is 666’s make out for me, am always rocking the 555 and 777.
Getting bored of the same fits…Love it mate. They look grand in the top block and legs and work very well with the chunky Nikes. Agree with G that you can take a few inches off and still rock cuffs and stacks.

Just picked up a pair of these recently. My first 25oz, so still getting used to it. Just now starting to see some fading in a couple areas.

Keep going this is my favourite IH fader. The advanced vertical fades you’ll see in a few months are simply special.

Kasi !!
Did I hear you right?
Mr.555 himself says the Devil's cut is more comfy?
Thats some high praise coming from youLooking very stealthy man

I think I’m finally gonna get around to picking up my first pair of XHS (which I will very likely just wear around the house until the Texas summer has passed ;D).
The sizing looks perfect for me but I’ll definitely wanna get em hemmed — has everyone experienced the 1” shrink in length, regardless of temp? I always wash cold — would that yield any less?
-
I didn’t make you listen how did you hear
lol
I wrote it… you read it
Anyway
My math for me
777 size up 2, that my fit.. gives me similar fit to 666 but waist is high like 555
555 size up 1, that my fit. high rises, wearing them for to long am bored of this fit.
666 no size up true to size birth of the 25oz born the cool James Deen fit.. the waist and medium
rise is bang on feel comfortable..Now my conclusion, I will wear 555, 777, 666

I only hot wash if I’m deliberately trying to shrink something. Cold wash still yields some shrink, I’m guessing especially with these since they’re unwashed. In the end, all I’m really debating is whether to hem em at 34 or 34.5, so it’s really probably pretty negligible any way I slice it.

(Waist on these is perfect for me, not worried about the shrink there)
And they look great in you, @Kasi — killer fit!

Thanks for the positive feedback @popvulture

You bet, man!

I’m of the opinion that removing all shrinkage is the way to go, the answer to your hemming question is go shorter.
I have had three pairs of XHS and none of them have had the full inch of shrinkage in the inseam after hot soaks and trips through the machine.
If you do ever take the shrinkage out of the waist it will stretch back to OG measurements and possibly a little more. Just as an FYI.

@neph93 cool, man! That's very helpful. And it's funny, I've found that sort of thing too — I've only really done hot soaks with new pairs of unsanforized jeans, but in none of the cases have they shrank as much as estimated by the seller/brand. Usually about half estimated.

Given how water temps, agitation from individual machines, and folks thinking they are doing one thing while actually doing another all create variable outcomes I think brands have to cover their butts and use liberal estimates to be on the safe side.

Makes sense. I just wash all mine in the tub now — my washer really sucks. It's got a sensing mechanism that just won't work right on a single-item load, so I just gave up on it for jeans and do mine all by hand. Ends up being better in the long run, more control.
