Our Cars (dream or actual)

Y'all should head an hour and a half down I-35. It's cheaper here. And we have parking…
-
But you don't have Ferraris…
We're not that gauche.
Though one of the parents at my daughter's school does drive a Bentley.
@Clint_D:I'm going to hold out as long as I can until someone makes me an offer I can't refuse @Chris. San Antonio is definitely on my radar though. If I had to leave, it would be to San Antonio or the surrounding hill country.
Yeah, I get it. And given the way real estate prices are going in Austin, if you hold out long enough, you might be able to afford a house in SA and a mini ranch out in the hill country.

Freshly ceramic coated. Now she’ll get a full front application of xpel film, plus mirrors and roof. Then tint removed and lighter (legal) tint applied. Sucks to be without her for a few days but good to know she’ll be protected.
-
Looks great, love the color. Xpel is a good choice. You plan to go on track with the baby?
Thanks. Gotta keep it looking nice! No plans for track day at the moment, just a fun daily driver that I'll always look forward to getting into.

I bought the FJ in December and then had a bunch of work done to it. There's more still on the way. This was taken the other day as I was trying to get to a higher elevation and get away from the smoke.
The Province of British Columbia is on fire. Where I live there are a total of 86 fires with the largest one being 400 square kilometres.

@QuantumMechanic as a Coloradan, I feel your pain on the wildfires. It is not only a drag when it chokes us, makes our eyes water, and limits outdoor activity, it is more importantly extremely worrisome for us all to think about beautiful places and habitats being destroyed.
That said, I love what you've done with that FJ and would love to hear more about it and what else is planned. Really a capable-looking vehicle!
-
Thanks, @mclaincausey.
It is something else and unless you experience this (and I hope nobody ever does) you just can't imagine it. Leading up to the fires it was averaging 50°C (that's over 120°F) for over a week (maybe two I can't remember). Then it all went nuts. Like you say it is hard to breathe, falling ash, and then there's all the destruction and death. An entire town got burnt and yet it would be much worse if not for the firefighters and aircrew.
I hope you're spared in lovely CO!
I really dig this FJ - perfect vehicle for here and it's entirely analog.
Here's what's been done:
Elka - 3" lift
MetalTech - front/rear tube bumpers
MetalTech - sliders
Method Wheels
Drifta - rear storage drawers
Prinsu roof rack
Avery Dennison Rugged Wrap
New headlights (should be here next week)
James Baroud Roof Top Tent and awning system (should be here by the end of the month)
Vivid Lumen LP6 fog lights (waiting)Jackery and a bunch of other gear to be off the grid with my wife and therapy dog.
What's planned:
Lower Control Arms
Back seat delete
Fridge
Skid plate
perhaps a snorkel because of the dust. These FJ's are indestructible.
Be well!

Very, very nice! Quite a beast.
Stay safe up there and thanks for sharing.

a/s4 or 6? hard to tell with the 4 getting bigger.. that led headlights kinda gives it away as a 6 but I wasn't sure because of the size.

Any Jeep people? I'm going to be giving my Lexus GS to the girlfriend and looking to get a diesel Wrangler or a Gladiator.

@GardenState – I have a 2011 Jeep Wrangler on some 33" tires and my folks have a 2020 Jeep Gladiator. Damn that truck is nice man. I support the Jeep purchase wholeheartedly. I've owned the 2011 since 2015 and it's been a solid vehicle and the new ones are (or can be optioned to be) total luxury vehicles.
