The view definitely does not suck.
-
Epic @RoxRocks86 –that view....those pants and cuffs.
-
@jordanscollected Embarrassingly had to look him up. Those black balloons are a whole mood. That stuffed animal is quite fitting.
@Kasi best of luck with the move. Hoping it goes smooth
@Chris That’s koko crater in the distance it has a fun railway trail if you like self torture. The architect who owns this house built it so that every room has an ocean side view.
@dinobarnesberlin the cuffs keep getting bigger…like I’m shrinking or something

Oddly enough, I do like self torture, but I think I'll pass on that one. I have slightly different plans for doing painful things the next time I'm out that way.

@neph93 Basement of the new place?
No sir. The basement is actually coming along nicely.
This is me starting to correct some seriously poor workmanship. Long story short, some twat decided that instead of taking up the floor of the first floor extension, he’d level it with 2cm of concrete. He fekked it. Professional said it was so bad it could not be sanded to a level, so I’m having to use a jackhammer and a huge breaking iron to take the whole thing up.
Needless to say the jackass is fired, unpaid, and may need to watch his back one dark night when he thinks I’ve forgotten about him.
I’m kidding of course…. He’s buried in the foundations already.
-
Words escape me and I would be seriously pissed…
Did they do that during the time when you weren't able to visit daily?
It happened when they were already well behind schedule and I was hassling them to get the floor finished. He figured his way was quicker and just went ahead. If it had been done well it would have been a dumb but acceptable solution. But….

??? WTF

I hiked up Koko Head… absolutely gorgeous views from the top… not recommended if you have a fear of heights… as I recall, there’s a section where we were walking on the old rail ties over a small ravine [emoji51]

??? WTF
This is just one example of the kind of incompetent fuckery I’ve had to deal with. I can’t bring myself to share more just yet [emoji1]

BlundstoneThis is my first time using hydraulic concrete saws and it was amazing! I had no idea they existed as they are absolutely the beat I’ve ever used. They look like they’re straight out of Star Wars or something..:

They are super cool. A guy just took four hours to cut a 400kg block out of our basement wall. The walls are 43cm thick.
Seriously! Have you ever used one yourself? They are way more powerful and much lighter than saws with an onboard gas motor!

I’ve used one for dressing concrete blocks for a wall which is pretty straightforward. Taking finished concrete out with one is something else I think. Next time I’m down the house I’ll take some pics of the walls and the block that came out. Insane stuff.

I’ve come to discover that I need to be very careful when using the bathroom in these. It was a very close call with the unclipped strap almost taking a dip

@RoxRocks86 outstanding. Crushing as always.
