Iron Heart Products - What do you think we should make?

We did a down filled vest years ago…

The quality was amazing and I still wear my Turquoise version...
(and so does Haraki when he stays at our house and gets a little chilly)…..
Trouble is, it was made in China, and we got a load of shit for making stuff in there. And Haraki says that to make a vest of the same quality in Japan, the price would be off the scale expensive….

How about 25oz indigo/black vest
A 25ib vest would make a great addition to the rotation. Also, with no plans for a restock of the 526V-XHS, this would make for a very nice heavy weight replacement of a different flavor. I’m on board!

That vest looks amazing Giles. Shame that made in China got a knee jerk reaction. I don’t know much about worker conditions so couldn’t provide an opinion, but it seems to me that quality of Chinese goods is as good as the customer requests. Want to buy cheap junk? That’s what you’ll get. Want something well made and, likewise, they’ll oblige for a higher price.
Having seen 1st hand the efforts you all go to create quality gear, I’m sure the vest was as excellent as any other item bearing your name.

When I originally told H it was an issue, he simply could not comprehend the problem. In fact he
felt pretty insulted."I specced IH quality, it is IH quality, what the fuck is the problem?"
It's the same gig as Made in America Jingoism. Just because it is made in America does not mean it's good. I could, if I wished, provide the denim and get jeans made in LA for USD12 per pair, now don't tell me that a) they'll be good and b) that the workers earn a living wage….
There's a lot of grey between black and white....

Not sure if you've done this, but flap pockets on some work shirts would be cool. It changes the look a bit and keeps things inside for anyone bending over/doing work in them

There have been some variants of the standard IH workshirt pattern witj flap pockets. The IHSH-163 springs to mind. Great shirts.

How about a shirt exactly like this but in the Black IHSH-64 fabric (or olive)

Those are definitely nice but more like yolk-less westerns (unless I'm seeing something different). I meant the boxier work shirt pockets

Im almost sure this has been suggested (or even done?) before, but here’s my wish:
14OZ sweat pants?
Or even a 14OZ jumpsuit….

They made sweatpants before at our request… But unless you like red or green (a lot) one was left wanting

While I know there's been some kind of pink "pig" UHF, either a rerun or another lighter red flannel would be great. Maybe not even a flannel, but a solid color way ala the 7oz soft flannel, love that fabric.
Also, maybe a less "all over" patterned flannel? Something a little more color blocked or cut from a "larger" pattern (like flannels sewn from blanket leftovers) that would feature heavy variance from shirt to shirt? I love a good check as much as the next guy, but I feel like the flannel patterning could expand (maybe I haven't been around long enough?)

Will there be any jackets made out of the shinyaka stretch denim?
