Thanks @den1mhead
I'm pretty sure i'm a size 4 in their flannels. Their size charts are a little different than i'm used to so I have to get sizing info anecdotally

A bit long for my taste, a hair shorter and it would have been a proper dad look. Or Lemmy style

That was the inspiration. Together with the muskelrock festival dresscode @illo59

Here's the text I wrote in case you're not on IG
Not one, but two new hats from @uesdenimjapan
They are both so nice. I have been looking for hats just like this for a while and they do not disappoint. The Army hat denim is grand indigo dyed and has a very soft hand. Selvedge details thoughout. The knit hat is made with an extra heavy gauge yarn and has excellent variegated indigo hues.
I am delighted with both.
The knit hat was purchased from @rivetandhide and the summer hat was purchased from @corlection

After going through this thread I am thinking of buying a UES heavy flannel shirt (502051) from Japan.
But I am a bit confused about their sizing. I looked at UES website and few Japanese online retailers - in most cases the measuring method is the same but reported sizes vary a lot. It seems UES size 2 or 3 would be good for me but not sure which one I should go for?
As reference, I wear size M in IH UHF, Large in Cushman sweatshirt, and orSlow size 2 overshirt.
I am hoping someone can share their (recent?) experience with UES heavy flannel shirts (14.5oz) and how should I approach their sizes. And, do they shrink after wash…
-
I have 2 heavy flannels from UES, and two other shirts as well, all in size 2. I wear all of them happily, but their sizing does really vary quite a bit, as you say. I had one flannel altered by a local tailor to make it fit better. For reference, I usually wear size XS in IH western shirts, size S in IH flannels.
I think my UES flannels were both one-washed, and they didn't shrink in the low temp washes I gave them.

First UES purchase. 15.5 oz Tricotine shirt. I loved the color when I saw this and had to buy it because it reminds me so much of Iron Heart’s indigo black. Makes for a great over shirt. Definitely doesn’t have IH’s sizing. This is the biggest size and the sleeves are barely long enough. I actually have to keep the buttons open to get the sleeves over a UHF. All in all, I’m happy with the purchase. Should get some good evo over time -
Congrats @Choko
That looks like a very sturdy overshirt!Verstuurd vanaf mijn SM-A217F met Tapatalk

@Choko
Is that the same as the one they are collecting orders for?

I’m thinking about pulling the trigger. -
@Karol yeah same one. I got mine from withered fig though
-
@Choko pre ordered that in a 3. Hoping the sizing works out. Typically a L in the IH workshirt. Were the sleeves the biggest difference for you?
-
@casksabbath yeah the sleeves were the biggest difference. I couldn’t get over them though so I sold it right after I bought it. They were 25.75 for the size 5 and they looked too short on me
-
@Choko fingers crossed, seemed like the measurements matched up. Guess I’ll see in September. Looks like a bomb proof shirt!
-
@Choko I had the short sleeve issue too. The sleeves are really short for it being their biggest size, although the measurements line up nearly exactly with the Studio D'Artisan work shirt in I have, in their largest size as well.

Anyone own their 14.5 oz indigo strip heavy flannel shirt?
-
Yes, I do!
-
@Lowlander any feedback on it?
