How do IH forum!? I recently joined the forum and have been trying to learn some etiquette before posting much. Think I’m beginning to get a feel for things but please feel free to smash me if I am operating poorly.
My 37 years have been spent in various trades, activities and adventures that require high performing and tough gear. I’ve worked on a fishing boat, been a hunting guide, construction worker and have enjoyed loads of adventures on my own backpacking, hunting and fishing journeys. All of this has trained me to appreciate genuine quality in fabrics and performance of my gear.
I found the selvage denim world about a year and a half ago and have been more or less… or more… obsessed about learning denim. The concept of making your articles of clothing a project has been really inspiring to me. I came across IH about a year ago and have honestly tried and failed at finding my cut or size a few times until now. Currently Ive been working in a pair of IH 888 XHS for about two months and own various other IH pieces.
I could say a lot more here but really just wanted to introduce myself and say I’m glad to have found IH and am eager to learn and connect here on this platform. Thank you IH! [emoji1605]Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Hello there!
New to the forum, happy to be here. Very cool how active the IH community is here; most forums are like deserted shopping malls these days. Everyone’s gone to reddit and instagram.Have been into japanese denim for a long time, and as of late have really grown a liking to that particular thing that IH does. Want every cut available in every denim? Want logical model numbers that are easy to follow? Want a forum thread neatly organized for each model variant? Check check and check. THIS IS MADNESS! IH definitely has an appeal to OCD types. Love it.
I have a pair of 888-21mb’s in the closet, going to begin rotating those pretty soon. Not going to rush those, I have a feeling I will find more satisfaction in wearing those in 1 day a week, and seeing the slow evolution over multiple years. Many thanks to Chesson for taking my call a few months ago to help with fit and measurement. 10/10 would not have ordered that day if it were not for that 10 minute conversation.
I have got my eyes on the 888-XHSib’s that I think will suit me well as a daily pair….just need help on sizing! Off to read the 888-XHSib thread.
Cheers!

Welcome @ombre ! I just purchased a pair of 888S-XHSib myself. They are sitting on the drying rack behind me as I type.

Greetings all,
After lurking in the forum for a while, I finally joined the ranks as a very pleased owner of 21 oz. 666s and a Type III vest. I dragged my feet on ordering for some time- despite the excellent guidance and support from IH- because I wanted to get the fit just right. My wife was kind enough to gift me both items, so for now they are locked away to be opened on Christmas. I did try both items on and the fit is perfect!I have been into denim for a few years- since I retired and was able to put away the dreaded business and business casual clothing. It is so nice to wear exactly what I want- which now, except for the most formal occasions includes denim. In addition to my preference for more casual clothing, heavy duty denim fits my semi-rural lifestyle. And finally, there is an element of nostalgia involved, as I have great memories of younger days when my wardrobe consisted of jeans and a few shirts. The other motivations have been to simplify my life and buy fewer, high quality, highly functional items.
Upon retirement, my progression has been to purchase Levis, then jeans from a local jeans manufacturer here in Virginia and finally, the grail, Iron Heart. Very pleased to be amongst you all in the IH community.

Hey ya'll. New to the forums and still new-ish to IH. You could say I'm a Good Art transplant. I knew about Iron Heart in terms of general brand heritage and quality denim, but ultimately my first purchase was a GAH adorned IHSH-341-BLK. Since then I grabbed the IHB-11-NAT belt, and I have a IHV-44-GA in the mail. Looking at denim next…..thanks for having me.

Been lurking for the past year, so thought it was time to say Hello …
My name is Nick, originally from Manchester UK, now live out in the hills in the Peak District. Design and build mobile apps for a living.
First got into selvedge denim in a big way with LVC around 2010 ... was temporarily distracted by having young children ... then discovered IH a couple of years ago.
Mostly wearing 634S and 777-XHS at the moment, two very different cuts but loving both. Got into western shirts, favourite is IHSH-333-SAX. Also got an IH N1 to keep me warm in darkest Derbyshire, and a beige cord type 3.
Have found this forum to be an amazing source of information ... looking forward to getting more involved.
