IHSH-280-BLU - 5oz Selvedge Ombré Check Madras Western Shirt - Blue

Thanks @Graham I see your signature and the wait until the FW21 preview is killing me

It's gonna make me so broke.
Quilted type 3, blanket lined western, indigo UHF… like so much stuff. I've been and iron heart fan for a long time and I've never wanted to buy 6 pieces right off the bat ever before. You guys are killing it!

I'm struggling… Hot Ingrid has just made funds available for this shirt as she thinks I have too many heavy dark shirts (shock, horror). The thing is, I feel like I maybe want the work shirt version, but I'm all about the instant gratification.... What to do?
Buy it! (Forum peer pressure is real). Is there a date yet on the workshirt….?

Mid April… I'm going to hold off. The dims on this make my normal XL a little big , but the L is too small for sure. The work shirt L will be perfect of course. I know this because fate

You know this because you are the IH Wizard! I do agree that this pattern will look excellent on a work shirt

Doing the same myself, the work shirt should fit better in L…if it comes out the way it typically does. Can't wait.

Anyone have good intel on how these react to wash (or even wash and dry)? I am between sizes on this one. 5'8" w broad chest/shoulder. The XXL is good in the chest but long in the sleeve. And with (to my eye) slightly wider shoulder measurements listed that will potentially lead to even more arm length. .. so, yeah, how much will this shirt shrink?
-
Most of the non denim shirts are once washed. So if you gentle wash it, it won't shrink… you could always soak just the sleeves in super hot water a couple times and then wash the shirt in cold like normal afterwards. @harleysteen

@harleysteen - I machine wash and machine dried my IHSH-226 (madras) shirt when I got it two years ago, and it definitely shrunk "up" meaning length and sleeves saw some shrink (not a ton, because as @Filthy said, they are once washed), but not in the chest. If it's a western, I would always feel ok to go up a size and wash + dry as the openings and taper on the "smaller" size and render them less wearable if you size down.. personal preference and everything, but my 2 cents.
