Thanks @yannis I appreciate that. I haven't forgotten about your Prontos. I only have an evening at home. Just got done with a job in Delaware, doing a one day job in Ohio tomorrow, then in California, maybe?
-
Damn man you were in Delaware? I live on the boarder of Maryland and Delaware. I travel to Delaware daily for work. I got locations in Newark, New Castle, Bear, Wilmington, Dover and Smyrna. If you ever come by again hit me up. Dinner and beer is on me.

I was working at Marcus Hook refinery
-
Right on man. No worries and no rush. When you get back home hit me up about the prontos. Travel safe!
-
@yannis I am on the fence about selling them. So they won't go to anyone but you…
-
I hope quadruple posting it's minded too much… But I love how thick and soft these are from the 2 hot soaks and 2 weeks of wear. XHS is absolutely my favorite ever.
-
It's interesting to me how the waist has completed rolled over on these from the being so tight initially. The waist is so comfy now. Also this camera captures the color of the denim really well in night mode.
-
cool detail shots @Filthy –--looks like that pair has Dunlap disease ???
-
They started out 35.6 and they are now a little over 37 now.
-
@daynym I also forgot to mention I soaked them and the waist was close to a 35 and has stretched like 2 inches. In my opinion, especially on jeans with a roomy top block, if they aren't agonizing to button up when you first get them… They will end up being too big in the waist eventually. No amount of soaking, dryer or whatever will ever make them shrink permanently enough to be a good fit.
-
I decided to reboot my stacks and soaked the bottom part of the legs in boiling water then ironed them while they were wet, and they are over the vent to dry.

Every New guy has to say hello somewhere, so 888 for me (with your advice please).
Summary is:
Old git
Ex Biker, z650 mainly
Desk job nowI bought a pair of 634S 21oz (Tag 34 hemmed to 31 (I am 29)) in December.
I am really enjoying them, getting softer after three warm soaks and drip drys. They are very comfortable, could maybe be a little snugger on the thigh and hem (top bits are good), and just starting to get some slight tonal changes (Graphics industry ….indulge me please). So I thought I would try 777 XHS.
I like the 25oz a lot (not a problem and after a couple of soaks it's getting a bit more mellow) but I might have gone for a bit of a tight / too young cut (rise is a bit low, calfs a bit tight, pockets are low & long...).A chum suggested 888 as a mid way. What do you think?
Thanks (in advance)

The 888 can be a great choice for you. It has a higher rise, so nake sure you are ok with that. It will seat higher on your waist. The top block, if you go the same size as your 634(which i recommend) will be slightly more snag. The upper thigh, close to the crotch and a little below will be very similar and then they will start tapering around mid thigh, so they will be more snag at the knee and countinue to a narrower leg opening. Look at the IH sizing chart and pay attention to the knee measurements and make sure you are ok with that. Other than that, it's an extremely flattering and very flexible cut. It also looks very modern , but still mature. Some guys go a size down on the 888's and it works for them. I personally take the same size on 634 and 888. Bottom line pay attention to the sizing chart and you will love them.
