Alex's East Coast Trip - July 2021
-
Spent a few hours with @Matty123 yesterday at his pizza place
Found where his stickers end up…
Matty taught Kira some of the tricks of the trade
Her turn…
Finished pies. Pepperoni by the maestro:
Tomato and basil by the apprentice
Thanks for hosting Matty, had a great time getting to know you better and eating far too much pizza!
-
that was a lot of fun spending time with you guys. and Kira made an amazing pie! she killed it!
thanks Alex Kira and Noah for coming by!i meant to wear these but they weren’t yet dry from a wash!
-
I really wish I could have been there. It would have been worth the 9 hour drive. Luckily it seems like I will be able to make it to Franklin and Poe tomorrow
-
Headed over to Barrier Brewing on Long Island to meet Evan and have a look around his operation. Seriously impressive set up, and amazing beer (we knew that already, though it didn't stop me from sampling some more!). Spent some time talking about
the next Iron Heart beer collabstuff. More details to come, but hoping we can get something sorted out for our USA market. For anyone in the LI area, the tap room is great. Good people, great food truck and cool music. Go check it out.

Damn @Matty123 those pizza's look excellent. My stomach has been grumbling since I saw them. Just how I like the crust also.
-
I had a great time today. Definitely worth the ten hours of driving.
I went and got an authentic Philly cheese steak sandwich from Joe's. It was amazing!!
I got to check out some of the FW21 stuff.
The purple UHF is out of sight you really must see it in person because photos don't do it justice.
Pittsburgh Steelers colored UHF
Meeting all 9 feet of Alex was pretty surreal. I got a few insider deets able stuff on the pipeline and I am so stoked for next year. Also pictured is Ed @steelworker it was awesome to meet them.
Some pics of me were taken and I guess they will show up eventually. Thanks a lot to everyone for such a nice time.!! I need to go to stuff like this more often because I met a lot of nice people. Also, my mom had been asking me to get her a non-hooded sweatshirt for a long time now so it was cool to be able to get her a really nice one. And I got myself a pair of socks.
-
Looks like a great time, @Alex and @Filthy and everyone! Lovely to see, too you @steelworker
-
Hell yeah she was so nice. Ed was such a cool dude too.. really great people.
-
Even if I have to hijack a plane and fly there myself I am going to be at the party next year.
I've been playing Microsoft Flight Sim so I know how to be a pilot. (To the federal authorities I am kidding and being overly sarcastic to express the depths of my desire to go to the party next year)..

@Filthy:
Even if I have to hijack a plane and fly there myself I am going to be at the party next year.
Right on; I’ll also try my best to make it to next year’s party.
-
Ive decided it might be easier to get a credit card and put the airfare on that instead
-
@Filthy @steelworker great to meet you both. Andrew hosted a great event and we had a really good turnout. I think 30 or 40 people rolled through at various times. Thanks for making the journey to visit with us, I had a great time.
