DIY Indigo dyeing- A how to thread

My hat turned out great.

Sure any time! @goosehd

@Haddtoo 555 I have just purchased another indigo kit if you still want me to dye you something… I plan on dying this shirt next week.
-
I dyed some of my shit with natural indigo this time…
Looks like I got a good deep color there but I hope it isn't splotchy because I didn't follow the instructions and just went for it based on my previous knowledge…
-
I wasn't satisfied with the color so I did a couple more dunks @Paul9221 I'll keep you posted.
Socks turned out nice.

Epic work on the socks Mike. Now you can have indigo stains on the inside AND outside of your shoes
-
Final product, I washed the fuckout of it in synthropol to get all of the fugitive indigo out. Used way too much and I had to wash it three times to get all the suds out of the washer
Fresh out of the dryer

Thanks. Seems like I could have used a tad less iron for a bluer color. I also should have played it flat instead of hanging it up because you can see where the shirt got darker as it dries… But I guess it's pretty sweet. I like it.

Mike, I like that subtle gradient actually. What I wouldn't like and would be most worried about would be blotchy inconsistencies. I also think the tone is cool, it's something different.
I look forward to seeing your Smurf feet when you wear those socks
Really admire your DIY spirit @Filthy
I may try to do some tie dyes with indigo since some of the ingredients like soda ash are the same.

I only dipped the socks once to avoid this problem. Thanks a lot man.
-
I like how irregular the dye is. I think the shirt looks great. You're getting really proficient at this, @Filthy.

Really like the bandanna Mike
