IHSH-312-IND - Indigo Ultra Heavy Flannel Work Shirt - Buffalo Check
-
There has been some discussion in this and the IHSH-302-IND thread about the difference between these and previous UHF's.
This is the first time we have indigo dyed the yarns in a UHF, and we had to use a different mill to weave the fabric. Though the actual shirt construction is done in our normal workshop.
The dyeing of the yarn in indigo is more expensive and harder to weave than non-indigo, so this has resulted in a higher cost and therefore price of the shirt over previous non-indigo UHF's.
Also, the mill that we used for the weaving of the fabric has different fabric brushing technology, so the hand feel is subtely different from non-indigo UHF's.
-
Now I really, really want one. Can we get a closeup if the brush-ness of the outside and inside, please?
-
Okay see you at 10 o'clock.Edit: Oof, thanks man.

Is it just the darker blue yarn that's indigo or are the light blue squares also of indigo dyed yarn?
-
My understanding is that it is an Indigo / Blue, so dark blue indigo and lighter blue (non indigo)
Quite the evolution that would turn out to be, with the indigo squares turning out lighter and brighter than the light blue squares over time.

@BrianA see here. It's not the fastest fader in the worldThat was actually helpful for me. Thank you. The evolution appears a bit more modest than I was imagining though I'm sure it'll look pretty incredible with consistent wear 5-8 years from now.
Think I was imagining something else in my head and I was almost thinking of selling out my navy blue/ivory UHF for this one but, really, even though IHSH-258-NAV appears to be an underrated item (per IH forums), I do still love it and it may be enough for me right now.
And I still got my IHSH-75-IND with metal buttons that I've not even worn outside yet along with the IHSH-299-PUR that you guys just sent out to me via UPS. Can't forget about that IHSH-235-OLV, bought last year, which I am wanting to evolve. There… I just talked myself down. lol. Going to slow my roll, for now.
Sometimes I am gripped by these Iron Heart spending fever dreams. If I can't break the spell I'm in for 2-3 IH purchases within the same week. First world problems. lol

This one got me, couldn’t pass up that indigo.

I will agree with others, this is a touch lighter and a different feel. But it’s amazing I really like it and think it makes a more wearable shirt. I think it can be pushed into 3 seasons.
This is my first UHF work shirt. Idk why I waited so long to get a work version.
I’ll try to get a picture later.
