Iron Heart WAYWT - 2022 Edition
-
Hey guys, I got sick again and decided to quit my job last week. So I haven't been online very much at all. One of the reasons I quit is that I got sulphur on some of my stuff when I was in Florida working and now a ton of my stuff smells like SO2. Including my 822 pants 🥲 So I'm wearing PIH15AN slubbies. It's not a bad problem to have I guess because they are extremely comfortable now. They are like wrinkled linen texture now.

Dude..so sorry to hear that it was bad enough that you actually quit your job.
Your health is way more important in the big picture. I know you will land on your feet. -
Thanks guys. Serotonin is on empty but hopefully I can find something I don't have to travel so much. I just spent 8 days throwing up and shitting my brains out.

I have washed them three times and the smell is there still there. I messed up and washed some work clothes and underwear with regular stuff and the work underwear makes the jeans smell like sulphur.
I just washed them in Borax, vinegar, and detergent. So hopefully that might do it

Good on ya @Filthy for doing what ya gotta do.
If anyone needs me I’ll be over here cosplaying a Canadian. Biggest challenge so far is being nice.

No more babies! One baby enters. One baby watches the Wiggles and eats Cheerios.
I love the IHSH-49, but I think yours has more upside evo potential. This is one of my favorite shirts that I own, so I am a bit partial to it. It does seem really anomalous in the IH collection. I can't think of another 70s style denim like this. I think an unlined pale denim shirt would be groovy too.
-
Of course of your underwear was the source of the sulphur smell then it sounds like you may have bigger problems.
I was working at a place wear they make fertilizer. It's not like a shit smell. It's not quite H2S like rotten eggs, but more like gunpowder. Idk if you ever smelled a real gunpowder explosion before. But it smells pretty close.
@mclaincausey woot the fook you smoking? Don't know aboot that but you are as nice as it gets. Also cool shirt too. I saw a well faded example of that same shirt on Pinterest one time and it was amazing. I am not able to find it now. But it is of that shirt over a hardwood floor. It was really woah, I didn't think light colored indigo could fade as rad.

Hehe @Filthy thanks
yeah the thing about the lighter denim is obviously it limits the dark end of the contrast spectrum. The high-abrasion areas of this shirt (which is still just getting started after many years and wears) seem to have a pale greencast fade to them. So the evo will be a long road, and it will be interesting, but the darker variants of these blanket shacket will have more contrast, and probably will look a bit more dramatic. I look forward to seeing that. Imma kick this 49 into high gear for the rest of the cold season, time to finally see some substantial evo on it. The issue has always been picking between this and my indigo dipped IH hoodie.

I've been wearing mine like a robe and around the house and sleeping in it too.
