16oz Slubby Denim

Hey everyone, I'm new to Iron Heart denim and am looking to get some opinions on this fit. This is an 888 cut in size 32 and it's very snug in the waist, especially when sitting down, but perfect everywhere else. How much stretch can I expect here? I'm looking for a higher rise cut that's a slim straight or slight taper and the 888 fit the bill. When I tried on a size 33 in store it felt like there was too much excess fabric in the seat, so I'm hoping these stretch enough or I'm thinking I might need a different cut.

Welcome @Bills ! Fit looks spot on. You should easily get an inch of stretch in the waist, if not more. These stretch easily.

Awesome ty, any tricks to speed it up? This fit is so good everywhere else it might even motivate me to finally lose a half inch in the waist. Can't wait to see this fabric fade, so much character to it.

Not being a smart ass but wear them. The slub stretches out pretty readily IMO.

@JDelage, @atm23 - how is the fit of the 1955S-SLB vs the 1955S? Any significant differences? (I’m in the UK and considering ordering from The Shop, so I need to get it right first time - I have a pair of 1955S that fit well so aiming to match that )

Any thoughts on a 16oz SLB indigo/black release?  In the 555 cut?

@willsonporter We do not have any plans for an Indigo/Black slubby denim at this moment in time. As a general rule of thumb though, when we release a new denim, we'll make it in all the core cuts

...wore this denim on my trip to the islands and it is such a versatile fabric. Comfortable in 80 degrees or 14 degrees - when I got home

They will be my goto jeans for travelling for wide swings in temperature from now on.
