IHM-20 - Overdyed 14oz Indigo Denim M65
-
If I layer with a sweatshirt or lightweight flannel the jacket is kinda tight on me. The m65 is heavy and can be worn with a henley or tee and fit perfectly. Again, i'd say if you're planning on layering then you might be better off with your usual size. I also sized down for a better fit on sleeve and body length as well. @dishelveled and I are close in ht/wt but i'm guessing his chest measurement is smaller than me.

^^^Thanks, brother! Those shoulder gussets are your friend–not sure sizing down is your play, but they'll help if you do.
The shirt is a blanklet lined flannel from Corridor NYC--which is now produced in Philly, with shirting production moving to Hondorus (wtf?)--guess its time for a name change, haha!
Scored it from shop canoe club (original tag for $225) for $69! Corridornyc.com is running their end of season sale with extra 20% off, which brings this one to $118ish, seriously don't know how CanoeClub sells so cheap and still maitains good relations with vendors?!!?

Received yesterday and between this and the 22 idk. Chronic. IH is straight killing it. Lg worked out perfect for my 6' 170 frame; XL in most shirts including UHFs. The collar is perhaps my favorite element. It just effortlessly falls where you want it to.
Nice score. How big is your chest btw? Just curious since we're similar in height/weight but you opted for a large. I wear large uhfs but went medium.
Either way, enjoy it.

My chest is 41". No question in sizing down for me. Same with the 22. My arms are on the longer side and these both are plenty long in the lg. Shoulders are perfect too. Pleasantly surprised with thermal properties as well working nicely with a thermal/tshirt layered in 38 degree crud. Jacket was already privy to Portugal The Man last night in Louisville. Amazing.

Well shit… you guys in the size down club were right. I received my XL today and it's too big And of course the Larges are gone now. Dammit all to hell.
@Giles any chance to.get another Large or should I just get one from one of the vendors? Kick ass jacket though.

I'd just get one from SE or Mild Blend. Sorry to hear your size didnt work out. Were you swimming in the xl?

I wonder if the denim would shrink a little bit after a hot rinse?

I am torn between this and lefty trucker OD. Can’t make the decision. I don’t have a need for two jackets .

In the chest and length, yes. Shoulders and arms were about perfect….fitted in a sense, so I'm almost thinking that sizing down to L might make it too tight in the shoulders and arms but I think I'm going to give it a shot anyways. And yeah I'll go the SE or MildBlend route.

I can't speak for anyone else but my ihm-20 is fitted for the most part. If I try to layer with a sweatshirt or flannel it's really tight, but with a t-shirt it's perfect. But, given the weight of the jacket I don't foresee needing to layer at all since I have no intention of wearing this as a winter jacket. I plan on wearing this jacket with t-shirts or a henley. I'd say the same would be the case for you since you live in AZ.
When I looked at the measurements I knew a large wouldn't work for me because of body length, sleeve length and chest. I likely would've looked like a little kid wearing his dad's oversized jacket.
-
I'm thinking that's exactly how a Large is going to fit me. I'll pretty much only be able to wear a T shirt underneath which will be fine because the jacket does feel quite warm with the lining. I do get cold very easily though. Combination of being a Phx native and low body fat I think. High is 57 today and that's easily UHR and UHF weather for me.
-
I wore mine a couple weeks back when it was 40 out. I had a sweatshirt underneath and it was perfectly warm. I think this jacket is best suited for temps between 40-60. I will admit that I was concerned about the fit when I first bought it, but I suspect that it'll loosen up over time. I'm pretty happy with it and glad I snagged one.
I've noticed that M65's seem to be the popular item this Spring. I saw that Momotaro and 3sixteen/Alpha Industries just put one out. Of course, i'm biased and think the IH M65 beats them all in terms of quality.

Totally agree.
