What weight are these 13W & 14W cord fabrics?

That's what I recalled hearing, and yet Brisbane Moss lists cords with the same number of wales as having different GSM.
I've never handled a 69, but I have a 70 and am wondering. It feels very light… like it's maybe 12oz, but I could be very wrong. Curious about the difference between the two and how much 'heavier' these might be than the Kersey Type 3's dropping this spring.

So do the 69s/70s feel like… 12oz to you? 13/14? I'm sure your brain is pretty finely attuned to fabric weights, at this point...

Shows what I know.
This recently arrived IHJ-81 feels WAAAY heavier.

Received the IHJ-69-BLK jacket today in the medium size. A really good summer jacket. First impressions are it’s a slim fitting warm weather jacket. I’m 5 foot 9 and around 11 stone. The medium size just about fits me. The jacket length is quite short so definitely a summer piece. The arm length is perfect. If you’re any bigger than me I’d go for a larger size. I think this will go well with a t-shirt as the collar is really nice. A very lightweight jacket so it’ll be ideal for the warmer weather. Really nice cord material which is incredibly soft and lightweight. The texture reflects the light and gives an attractive, vibrant black colour. Excellent Iron Heart stitching as usual. Highly recommended.

Thanks for the great write up. Tee and a type III is a classic.

Feeling lucky guys n gurls! I’m so excited my IHJ-69 is landing tomorrow. A naughty purchase, especially knowing I’ve a black IH-9526PJ in the tank already. How many black type III’s do you need. A guilt purchase tbh, as the horse hide type III is out of stock in L. Stock photos and those posted on this thread sell this beauty, the fabric and the way it holds the light looks like nothing I’ve ever seen. Update to follow…

@GC:
How many black type III’s do you need.
The answer to the question of how many of your IH item vice of choice (x) is OK to own, is always the number you have (n) plus one.
So x=n+1. Write it down somewhere safe. You’ll need it in the future.
Great jacket btw. Congratulations.

@GC:
So x=n+1. Duly noted, love it!
Credit where credit is due. It was @Max Power who formalised the equation a number of years ago, in response to a similar question from me where x=vests.
