BS-10 - GOOD ART HLYWD Model 10 Bracelet
-
@brock that’s rad! I feel like the older models had beefier links or they were made to fit tighter together or something.. you don’t see as many of the older styles anymore either which is cool. anyway it looks awesome! Nice pick up !

Hey Brock, also if the wear and tear bothers you GoodArt will refinish it to near new for a fee. If you have the patience and the fortitude to fuck with a near $2k bracelet, you can buy polishing papers that will do a pretty good job. Since I have a little time on my hands, I gave mine a solid once over.
Disclaimer: I have worked with my mother who is a jeweler, so I’ve done this quite a lot. It is very time consuming doing it by hand but it can yield pretty amazing results.
Start after a solid cleaning and a light buffing with the 2 more abrasive clothes.
Little more than half way
After buffing but did another cleaning and buffing after:
Still has character but looking shiny new:

Here’s some more pics…
I like the rough look of it. Plus it’s just gonna get even more beat up being on my wrist...
I do however prefer the cleaner look of the clasp to link transition of the newer models.

Thanks Alex! I’m pretty stoked on it. I think you may be right. My dads B originally had 15 links on it and he decided he wanted to add one. It fit him alright, it would just get stuck if it moved up his arm a bit. He tried mine on and could barely get the clap to close..
The D that you wear is the beefiest model 10 out there man!! How much does that thing weigh!?

Thank you [emoji1374] yea he was pretty surprised when he saw me wearing it! He thought for a second it might have been his… he’s been waiting for an extra link to be added to it for over 3 months now.

Man @Brock i have no idea how much it weighs..?? i have a small scale but it maxes it out and won't give a measurement.. And i agree with you, i like the slighty thrashed look these get after awhile. a little tarnished and beat up looks good. As for the new vs. old clasp style i think the newer clasp allows for more movement and looks more seamless but after looking at hundreds of different models and pictures i swear the older models links are made a little beefier and seem to fit tighter or more closely together.. for example on my model D there is hardly any room in between each link and yours look very similar in that the links fit very close to one another..?? I don't know if they were made differently before or if they changed the manufacturing process to make them easier to make..? I have no idea, just something i noticed.. And also i think there are fewer of the older styles out there so to me it's very cool to find an older model :-\ When your dad gets his back you should post some pics of his and yours side by side to see if there is actually a noticeable difference. take care and thanks for all the pics!

My dads B returned with an extra link so I took some side by side shots for you alexswords
All of your thoughts turned out to be correct. I wish I knew what year mine was built.
Another noticeable deference is that every singe one of the links on my bracelet has JW initials. My dads is only initialed on the second link from each end…
