Kanreki Club

Mine and @Madame Buttonfly 's priorities have definitely changed. We reckon the next 10 years or so are the years we need to maximise the good stuff, we still have our health, we have a business that can to a great extent run itself and some of our pensions have kicked in (yes, feckin result!). We're going to make hay before it's too late…..
-
Yep, my Kanreki was back in January and for sure having worked constantly for 43 years I am ready to start stepping back a little. We LOVE this business very much, and are really lucky to be able to
meddlecontribute from wherever we are in the world, so we have taken advantage of this to travel to some wonderful places over the past few years. Now, as @Giles said, we have the realisation that (and there are no guarantees) we probably only have 10 years to make the most of some of the experiences we love best - diving, hiking/walking, fishing etc. so we are planning to benefit from having a great IH UK crew established to disappear into the sunset every so often (as well as just spending a bit more time at home!)
The other priority is hanging on to our health, without it nothing else counts for anything.

My hairline has joined the Kanreki Club
same, except mine has been in the last couple of years. As I like to tell my son, "I'm not bald, i'm balding." But whatever, i'm 46 now so I just need to deal with it.

My hairline has joined the Kanreki Club, unfortunately 20 years too soon…..
Oh young padawan, mistaken you are when thinking your receding hairline has anything to do with kanreki…
-
14 years time to deal with it is plenty… piece of cake...

Good for you & congratulations to both of you @Giles @Madame Buttonfly !
It's the best thing that can happen… doing what you love in good health
and passing the torch to your children or grandchildren !70 will be a good reason for the next big celebration... although I will celebrate my 64th birthday
with playing 'When I'm sixty-four' all day long just because I couldn't imagine how anyone could be that old
when the song came out... -
hhmm… age is biology... the rest is karma...
