Obenauf's - Leather Preservatives

It actually may not happen after all. The company is the single most difficult company I have ever had to work with. They are currently insisting on shipping to a US address and charging me USD200 for that. I can create a shipping label and bring the shipment from US to UK for USD150. So effectively that is like pissing away USD200 or increasing the landed cost by USD1.20 per unit.

The point is, that they are currently insisting on shipping to a US address. That is an unnecessary additional expense of USD200. It costs us USD150 to ship to UK whether we ship from Idaho (where they are based) or from our US postal address. That USD1.20 has to be added onto our cost base when calculating price….

Maybe for direct customers, but not for distributors/retailers.
And even if they did, if they are quoting us USD200 to ship this parcel within the contiguous US, then I dread to think what they would charge us for shipping to UK.
We get amazing rates from UPS and FedEx, far better than any of our current suppliers, we always organise shipping on our own account.
If Haraki organised shipping to us it would cost about USD16 per item. We use UPS and it works out at about USD3.20 per item….

There have to be many similar options for bee based leather conditioners, like this one from the Germans. https://www.smartpakequine.com/mobile/pt/10820?utm_source=cpc&utm_medium=google&utm_content=shopping&utm_campaign=nb_shopping_barn_gifts&utm_term=Tack Room Supplies&gclid=CjwKCAjw5ZPcBRBkEiwA-avvk3vqyEunTPS4wpV0lPKhIQVsj4Xl-snZXkbjRFNARnS_r1nb00

That sucks to hear that they are so terrible to work with. On a better note however, I have been using the HD LP on all my White's for years now and the stuff is amazing! I treat my boots whenever the look like the need it, but mainly just once in the fall and generally again in the midst of winter. It is really great to reseal the edges and the welt stitching. I wipe down new leather laces with it, too, and it helps make them a bit more pliable. Great stuff!
