Ok, I know I'm opening myself up to any number of smart-assed comments, but what is the rain detector that you're installing?
-
Then these turned up…..Les is hung over and Alex has damaged his back (when a car pulled out in front of him when he was cycling home)....., so I guess shifting them is down to me....(Paula, conveniently has a subsequent engagement )
Wind the clock back four years and you would have had an abled body Aussie who you could have put to work!

The roof lantern will have 2 opening windows, whne the rain detector detects moisture, the windows will close if they have been left open…..

That is some very nice hand cut Blue Stone. Where was it laid previously? Do you know the history of it? Thick
Stuff -
I do not know where it was laid previously. In the UK, we call this York stone or York flags.

I am buying it from a reclamation yard in Yorkshire.
I've bought it in 3 batches thus far, each with it's own character, so I am going to have to be quite careful when I lay it…

So, we had to divert the down-pipe to get the last joist in. Reckon the building regs person will be happy with our solution ?
I see nothing wrong with that. Looks perfect, in fact.
Oh, and the auto close windows sound brilliant. I wish we'd had that in our old house- Julie was perpetually leaving the windows in the garage apartment open.
