Experience with IH-888S-Re?

Anyone have any experience or feedback with the recycled denim used in the IH-888S-re from earlier this year? Shrinkage (inseam particularly important to me), fades, texture, etc.

I’ve been wearing mine frequently since release. Washed twice, and line dried with a final air fluff in the dryer. I do notice that they’re a tad snug after the wash but it takes like 1 wear to stretch back out to “old favorite.” I’ve noticed no inseam movement and I actually built in a bit of extra length to accommodate that.
Fading is fairly fast, although I don’t have extensive history to compare to. Got some electric blue fades in the seat and crotch (desk jockey). These high wear areas have developed a sheen and softness and I do wonder how long it’ll take for holes to happen.
Slightly rougher texture than the flagship 21oz but nothing crazy. My momotaro copper labels were definitely rougher and hairier.
Overall the cut is great for me, and I love the all season weight. If this denim is slightly less “tough” than the flagship the trade off is worth it for the wearability in summer months.

RE vs 21 photo study.
2 years cold weather wear on 21oz. Probably 4 washes? I do nothing special to preserve or facilitate fades.
3 months wear on the RE. 2 washes.In all cases RE is on top of 21oz.

great job tvenuto! i'd like to hear more comparison and advantages/disadvantages between the two if possible, i am really not secure to buy 888s 21oz or 888s-RE
