IHSH-227-IND - 12oz Wabash CPO Shirt - Indigo
-
@Stuart.T I own this shirt in a size XL (which, up until now, is the same size I take in all my westerns and CPO's). I am 6ft 1" and weigh 200 pounds (41" measured chest) and this fits me well but is not fitted (which I prefer). I can happily layer this over a t-shirt or thicker thermal. I note that you own the IHSH-211 (which I also own), and aside from the sleeve length being a bit longer on the IHSH-227, the sizing feels similar in the shoulders and chest. One difference between the two that is noticeable for me is the cuff width. It's wider on the IHSH-227 which can exaggerate the feeling of longer sleeves as they can fall beyond the wrist. Overall, I think this is a stunning piece from IH, and will only get better with wear. You won't regret the purchase

Hi @robm thank you so much for such a detailed description. My IHSH 211 sleeves are just about ok, if a little long. The sleeves on the IHSH 227 xxl would just babe too l9ng for me. O know some people would recommend rolling or cuffing the sleeve, but for me clothing either fits or it doesn't. I think I'll have to pass this one up.
@neph93 my XL Wabash shirts have acted completely differently despite the exact same soak and wash regime. Black shrunk more than indigo, and they shrunk in the shoulders and sleeve more than other dimensions. I don't think I'd get 1 " shrink from the IHSH 211…Any thoughts?

Cross-post pic from WAYWT 2019…
My IHSH-227 is my favorite shirt at the moment. The indigo Wabash is just dripping with indigo. After wearing in a light rain today, my arms were blue. I bought it in May and have only been able to wear it a few times through the summer months. Fades are already showing around the elbow area. I’m looking forward to wearing it in more in the fall.
As mentioned in previous posts, the sleeves are a bit long and the sleeve opening a bit wide, but I think this is in keeping with the style and it should shrink a bit in the first wash.
I just can’t say enough about how great the fabric is. ...super soft and comfortable despite the weight and thickness.

My beloved 68 is finally too small for me so I upgraded to the 227 as an early Bday gift. This shirt is a large and fits pretty well except for being maybe a little long in the arm (must have been modeled off of Giles). Love that this was made as a CPO, all shirts deserve a chance at having pockets.
Fits:
The snaps are one of my favorite CPO details.

If anyone wants a medium 68, hit me up! I’ll be listing soon….

I can’t believe the measurements on this shirt. I’m 6’7” and have put the idea of ever owning an iron heart shirt far, far outside of my mind. But when I compare the measurements of my favorite large, tall shirt with the xxl of this wabash beaut they’re basically the same!!!

@Smiladon Always nice when that happens, I’m pleased for you. It is a CPO, so not unusual that they are a little bigger, not least longer, than others. In addition the Wabash shirts often come in a little bigger than others, no idea why. UHF’s are nearly always shorter than average on the other hand. In short it is always worth checking measurements of individual products (jean iterations included) as there is often variation from what is generally the norm.

Idk why I even started looking but I’m glad I did. The uhfs are definitely too short. I had already designed a custom wabash from SoSo but hadn’t pulled the trigger because from past experiences their sizing is shaky at best. I love the pockets on this shirt! Can’t wait to try them out…[emoji41]

Got it! Fits great! Sleeves are perfect. Great looking piece, love the wabash. I’ve wanted a shirt with chain stitch run off forever, idk why[emoji2371] and now I’ve got one.

Perfect! Pleased it worked out. I’ve gotten to the point where chainstitch run-off is either great or horribel depending on the shirt. I always leave it on wabash though.
