14oz Indigo x Black Denim Updates
-
So I have the honour to put some miles on the 555 cut and my first impression of the new 14 oz fabric is great: it feels quite smooth and uniform while also being slightly stiff out of the bag. I like it a lot! The first iteration of 14 oz denim felt crispier and somewhat lighter but these feel more substantial and - of course - heavier than 14 oz. I would assume them to be more in the range of 15 if not 16 oz. The combination of an indigo warp and a black weft is amazing: the colour is a beautiful dark blue/black that will age with some electric blue fades (which are alredy peeking through in some places). They are comfortable from the start despite being pretty snug in the waist as they do feel that they can stretch where needed. I adore the tonal stitching BTW but that's no surprise :). I will also do a shrink test on them and come back with measurements.
Some quick and dirty fit pics.

They look promising!

Fabric looks really nice! I was super hoping for contrast stitching myself.

You can also have a look at the IH-555-XHSib that is basically its huskier 555-brother with contrast stitching. G has mentioned a future rerun.

Ah no, why contrast stitching on the 666’s? It put me off the 666 sbg’s..
What about the black/ black 666’s?
