IHSH-216-NAV - Heavy Moleskin CPO Shirt - Navy

Really tempted by this. Large looks good for a nice trim fit, XL would probably work if wearing as outer layer but might be too long. @Sam is my baseline for shirts, would he take a Large?
Any estimation as to how warm this will feel? I’m guessing similar or slightly lighter than a UHF? Also as this is Navy, am I right in thinking this isn’t going to fade?
It is Navy, not indigo, and probably reactive dyed. So fading like denim won't happen no. Judging by the measurement, I strongly suspect Sam will use Large. Moleskin is traditionally wind resistant and quite dense. I'd imagine this to be different to a UHF but nearly as warm

Awesome, I’d want this shirt to stay looking just as it is with minimal fading. I just noticed the page for the brown version of this shirt where the measurements are similar and Sam indeed took a brown.
Think my mind has been made up on this one. Will be poised at 1600 tomorrow! -
I purchased my normal shirt size. I didn't size up so it looks more like a shirt when buttoned. In the thread for the tan one, you can see how it looks. I forget how to link or else I'd do it.

That shirt is way too snapped up to be anyone from SOP [emoji14]

Me too, looking forward to this shirt. I was lucky enough to snag one of the tan colour ones last year and it has become a favourite, very versatile piece.

Got a large. Risky as it might be slightly on the trim side. Hope it works out. If it does, I’ll have to hide it for a few months or my wife might just kill me. It’ll have to be my guilty secret.
Now for a self-imposed Iron Heart ban for six months while my bank account recovers.

Next to IH, SOP always does a great job with fit pics IMO. Gives a great idea what the product will look like in the wild.
Peepaw is selling these things like hotcakes btw…already sold out in most sizes. This is a great fabric...I had last years version but had to send it back as the fit was a bit too snug in my usual XL IIRC.

Hey all - quick question on the fabric; is this more of a 'rigid' type with soft face, or is it more of a softer, flexible, chamois-like moleskin?
Edit: I'll add for clarity that most of the Japanese and Italian sourced moleskins I have experienced are the former, but British moleskin ala brisbane moss is the latter.

Why is he called PeePaw?

@gaseousclay I know it means grandfather in the south. Not sure how he acquired that moniker, though.
