Great bag to go buy a 2 liter growler to bring back home on the motorbike
-
Thanks for this and your beer thread post @motojobobo
The bag looks larger than I imagined. And that beer bottle looks large. I’m unfamilair with the measurements involved in a «growler», how big a bottle are we talking?

Oh nice! I wouldnt have thought a Growler would fit but that’s awesome! Man I would love to have this bag pimped with some GA…

I’ll get you that info tomorrow @neph93 .
Got back home earlier than I anticipated. Just measured my growler who stands at 29 cm tall and 11 cm diameter. It’s big.
It is a tight fit for the IHE 37 which requires the cap end of the growler go in first. I was very glad when I discovered this fit as I intended to use the IHE 37 as much as possible as my motorcycle ‘across the back’ bag. And you are of course right @Anesthetist , GAH would look on this bag.
Something else worth mentioning about this bag…it is so robust and strong that carrying this 2.5 kg (beer + glass) will not unsettle it on your back. It’ll feel firm and stable on your back as you ride. Truly a motorcycle worthy bag IH!

Lovely @motojobobo Thanks very much for the write up and data. Very useful, (and potentially expensive [emoji1]).

17mm GA snap on these? Asking for a friend (inside my head ::) )
Got this with me for travelling, passports, glasses, money, etc., highly recommend…. just in case your friend asks

So true

Excellent acquisition @Powerband . This is one overall tough bag: denim body, leather trim, metal hardware and strong zippers. Every bit is over-engineered for a less-than-3 liter capacity bag. I use mine 3-4 days a week on the bike for the last two months and it still looks brand new.

I will also be using this bag for commuting on the motorcycle. Good to hear how tough it is… and it looks good with the brass hardware.

Got the bag today—I always appreciate the fast shipping that Iron Heart has to the US. I love everything about this bag, but the snap-fastened closure doesn’t snap close because there’s no back button to snap to. Is this correct or is this a craftsmanship mistake? Please see pics:

Oh shit, that is an omission, sorry it was not noticed before we shipped…I'll have one of the boys contact you....

As a business owner, I know that shit sometimes happens, but you guys handle it with speed and grace. Already got the tracking number for the replacement that’s on its way, and also got the return-label for the first one. Thank you, Iron Heart team.
The bag really is tank-like. Will last for many years.
