What do/did you do for a living?

We actually aren't supposed to get the bonus, it's really for the hospital only but to keep the peace they
include radiology…Nice gesture. -
The only time I ever take off is when they kick me out because I have too many hours. Our paid time off
can't exceed 576 hours, last month I was 2 hours away from maxing it out so they made me take a week
off. I don't ever go on vacation so my PTO adds up fast. -
Thanks Seul, 19 years worth of dedication. Called in sick once 2 years ago and only been late to work once
in 19 years. I'd go on vacation more if I had someone who could afford to go on vacation to go with, all my
friends are either unemployed, students or pretty much paycheck to paycheck.
If I have to take time off it takes 3 people to do my job so I go down to the wire until they have to kick me
out. -
Oh no, jaco, told them I had a plumbing issue the day before I was off so it was scheduled.
-
Me too…!
Well the hospital big wigs here aren't laid back here so I'll have to go through channels and red tape to see if
it will fly. -
Oh I know, thing is marketing handles everything for radiology so I can merely suggest it and they would
present it to the dept. chair. -
Don't worry Finn, you won't be forever!
actually i should have graduated in march but i like to take things slow
-
Good for you, no rush!

Been lurking for a while on this forum… I manage a scooter/motorcycle dealership and clothing store. We sell Vespa's, Stella's, Royal Enfield's, Moto Guzzi's and Aprilia's. For clothing we sell stuff like Fred Perry, Ben Sherman, Hillside, Filson, Penguin, Wesc and just about to get our first shipment of 3sixteen denim (very excited to get some "real" denim in the store).
I love retail, at least when I am in charge. I get to play with big toys all day and meet all kinds of whacked out people.. today some 16 year old kid bought a bike for his brother who was graduating from college only it turns out he stole the money from his parents and they called the cops on him for doing so... made me laugh a little.

Ha! your telling me. I would love to sell the stuff in my store but I don't think there is a big enough market for it in Toronto to turn over the product often enough. The price points are too high for most of the customers that come in for clothing. We are slowly raising the level of the brands we carry with the introduction of 3sixteen, Oliver Spencer, Filson bags and whatnot but it is a gradual process.

I worked as an ICU nurse for about three years before going back for my MS in Nurse Anesthesia. I have been in practice now for about three years and I love it. I honestly couldn't see myself doing anything else.

Hi. I write software related to hardware instrumentation, operating systems and firmware. I also do a lot of systems integration work/network troubleshooting/etc…I'm an all-round technical problem solver who can do lots of stuff. Educated both at the undergrad and graduate level in electrical engineering, computer science and embedded systems.
Side Note: Most engineers dress like absolute dorks. I mean, they have no fashion sense whatsoever. I'm no fashion plate myself (like Beats, PeteyRock and LandoCal) but at least i care about the aesthetic of wearing high quality clothes as well as looking good. I'm surprised at the number of admittedly geeky types on this thread who appreciate Iron Heart !
