I havent been able to find the answer in the IH forum, so I'm asking: is this shirt the same fabric as the great white with a different color or is the fabric different, and if so, what are the differences?

The Great white is a Twill.  The Big Blue is a pale blue Oxford.  As above…

There has been some discussion and requests for us the do the Big Blue in a non-overdyed version.  I discussed this with Haraki.  He selected the Oxford because it had a lot of little slubs and burs in the weave, this enhances the character of end result (once overdyed), but he is not happy about releasing any shirts in the non overdyed Oxford, so I'm sorry folks, a virgin Oxford will not happen…...............
