Our Cars (dream or actual)

Brilliant photos @Inorganic. I hadn't seen a Vanagon in years, and when we spent a week in Austin, TX late last month i saw like 6 of them. Find the hipsters, find the vanagons

So nice @Inorganic, drove one (not a syncro though) in the late 80s, and loved it. My parent had a T2 in the 70s in which we toured Southern Europe when I was a kid, and now I have a T5 California (IMO technically the best VW bus), but I love them all.
-
@jordanscollected oh these are definitely loved by hipsters, I'm guessing because they are so 'instagramable', which has driven the prices of these thru the roof.
@endo I've not seen a T5 in the US (I think they are euro spec only? perhaps because of emissions, plenty of T4's around). I watched a review of the California - looks pretty rad and, as expected, well thought out from a space usage/amenity perspective.

DREAM

@Inorganic I do love a 90s Land Cruiser!
-
@tody that’s a cool car man!!

Ok I’ll post mine. My dream car became mine in 2021. I’ve always loved every model of the M5 and my first love was the 1996.
M5 car meet from last weekend

@endo lovely photos! so great to see people using their vans to get out there and make memories. as for the engine placement - i kinda dig the engine in the rear. it saves/creates so much space, lowers the center of mass so you can take turns like you're in a sports car (albeit with 89 hp) and for rear wheel drives having that weight in the rear is great for driving in the snow! there are drawbacks for sure - the cooling lines have to be MASSIVE, thus, the volume of coolant is obscene (18 litres!!), i can be a bit noisy and create a lot of heat in the summer.
-
@Ross that's what i'm saying! i think its that perfect blend between the boxy and the rounded. just beautiful (but if we're talking boxy shapes there is def a special place in my heart for a g-wagen)
-
@JerkStore those are stunning
-
@Inorganic Mate! I'm convinced all those 'boxy' cars from the 90s we all thought were ugly 10/15 years ago are coming back round!
-
@Ross without a doubt. I'm just waiting for some hipsters to get clued into how cool the Lada Riva looks and its potential (omg if my 10yr old self saw me write that i may have topped myself).
-
@Inorganic I have seen some very cool expedition modified Lada Nivas out there

Here are my cars:
1999 Z3M coupé, i have it for about 13 years, it has been prepared to race a little bit:
And my rare 1975 Innocenti Mini, the Italian version of it with more additional parts when they were sale brand new (chrome, front disk brake...)
I have it for 3 years now, it was really in bad shape and wasn't running great but with elbow grease and several spare parts, it's finally a little bomb that smoke a lot of small carsBefore:
And after:
And a photo of the 2 girls before the paint job:
