IH-777S-142bb - 14oz Selvedge Denim Super Slim Tapered Jeans - Black/Black
-
Made the switch from a 555 to this and prefer the 777. No cling, I can pull them all the way up thanks to the bigger knee measurement not squeezing my lower thigh. Love em!

@WhiskeySandwich looks goood
-
@WhiskeySandwich they look good but to be fair the bikes caught my attention. Anymore pics?
-
@Dmart yeah man! Just got the 72 as a fixer upper, ready for inspection tomorrow. And my baby, the Ironhead I chopped up and rebuilt.
-
@WhiskeySandwich nice bikes and love the flake on the green bike!
-
Those look awesome, @Lowlander! Need to get more wear on mine as the cold, cloudy days become warmer, cloudy days.
Was wearing these yesterday and love the softness of the 14 oz denim so much that I pulled the trigger on a pair of the standard indigo/ecru.
-
@WhiskeySandwich love em both! Great build!
-
Update on my bb (here paired with a Flat Head workshirt). During winter I was wearing my 21oz SBG most of the time.
-
@Mickey-GT hell yeah those look excellent with the black boots
-
These have gotten a crazy sheen on the heinie and thighs over a couple months wear. They’re super smooth and velvety but not much fading - still haven’t washed aside from the initial soak. Love this denim.
-
Outdoor shot really shows it. Jeans at the beach! All day everyday.
-
The jeans are looking good @WhiskeySandwich! Reminds me to put mine on again soon when things cool down somewhat...

Thanks brother! My two-pair cycle is these and the 18oz vintage, and whichever I’m wearing at the time is my favorite the only time I’m not wearing them is for extreme dirty work, which I have a dedicated pair for.

I’m on day two of wearing these and to say I’m obsessed is an understatement.
This is my first pair of IH. Picked them up at Self Edge NY last month and I’m excited to see the progress in the comings months.
Easily the most comfortable pair of denim I’ve ever owned. -
@hbg1 I have mine on right now and they're super good at work in the A/C...a bit hot in 90deg humidity though!
No idea how many wears I have on these now, but I got them March and wear them like 1/3 of the time. The 18oz Vintage breathe a bit better and are a bit looser on me so I favor them for the other 2/3 of the time. I love the fabric of these bb's though. So smoooooth. They're holding their dye pretty tough everywhere except seam edges, the high wear areas are just super smooth and shiny. I feel like it's barely holding on though and one day its just going to let go because I have some bright gray spots popping already. -
@WhiskeySandwich we are in similar situations I think.
My office environment is super cold every day so it will be perfect for breaking them in.
The temperature here has cooled off this week so it’s not as humid but I’m sure I’ll have to put them aside before summer ends. One thing I am noticing is they’re slightly snug in the calves, not sure if it’s just me or not but I’m hoping that might stretch just a little more over time.
-
@hbg1 Yeah now that I work indoors its nice to be able to work on my heavy shirts and jackets as well lol but these 14oz are still tolerable at all heat levels I've encountered....depends on tolerance and climate.
I doubt you'd get much stretch in the calves, but from my experience with any denim, stress = stretch. Just how much - that depends. If you're on your first couple days, give em a couple weeks and they'll feel a bit different. Or try a cold soak and put them on slightly damp and wear till dry - that's my fast track way to form-fit it.
-
@WhiskeySandwich cheers, thanks for the info!
I’m ok with how they are now, it’s not terrible but they’re just slightly brushing against the calves.
I’ll give it some time to wear in.Can’t wait to see what they look like in a few months!

Only been wearing these a couple days a week. Slow and steady, diggin how they look though
