IH-666S-19L - 19oz Left Hand Twill Selvedge Denim Slim Straight Cut Jeans
-
Some photos before a soak yesterday. They haven’t gotten much love, but they’re about to be put to work.
-
Anyone have a fit pic to share?
-
I am debating on picking up a pair of these. I am wary of the lower rise though. I normally were jeans with a higher rise but I want the slimmer fit of this cut. What are other people's experince coming from higher rise cuts?

I'm probably going against what others would recommend but I size up in the 666 from my 634 size and the larger thigh/waist allows me to pull them up a little higher but still get a slightly slimmer fit than 634.
-
@october-rust that is a good idea. I might do that. I should have pulled the trigger on a pair when they were on sale.
-
I’m often in between a size 32 and a 33 in IH. My 633s-14bb are a 33 and they’re just about perfect except the rise and large thighs leave a good amount of extra material in the rear. I picked up the 666s-19l in a 33 and ended up returning them for a size 32. I figure if the 19oz stretches ~1 inch in the waist then they’ll be a bit baggy. I’m awaiting my 32 now but I’ll post a fit pic when they arrive.
-
Fit pic as promised. I’m pretty happy with the fit. The waist is good but I’m hoping the thighs stretch out a bit.
-
@__Nicholas overall good fit! Everything under constant high pressure will stretch, but the 19oz won’t stretch that much overall imo. So can you sit comfortably? Can you do a few squads? If you can you’re good!

i'm planning to buy a pair of 666s 19oz LHT. my question is would they shrink considerably after the first wash or soak... I'm size 36 if I buy size 38, would they shrink to 36 after washing them?

From the webpage:
If you want specific sizing advice, then best to email shop@ironheart.co.uk. They will help you find the correct actual waist size.
-
After 4 days of wear, multiple bicycle rides and a ton of squats, they are feeling pretty good.
-
@__Nicholas They look great! Those jeans are going to have a fantastic fade pattern with time
-
Wow, these babies are beasts!
Breaking in xhs and 21od was easy in comparison.
Also IMHO, the warmest of all of them due the tight weave. And that leg twist is something to behold - does not bother me but I would say about 75 degrees for the right leg.
Subtle electric blue coming through in sunlight - these will be great with time. Photos in due time.
-
Are these in the pipeline for a restock soon?
-
Hey @bluemantra hopefully looking at a restock around May/June time, fingers crossed

That’s awesome. Is it as crispy and stiff as the 526L? Same expected stretch in waist as 21 oz? Or more like XHS?

Yes, it's the same denim.

Here's what we say on the product page:
- Unsanforized, but one-washed, so expect little or no shrinkage
- The waist will stretch approximately one inch with wear
- Other dimensions will stretch proportionately to the waist
- This denim has not gone through a post weave skewing process, so you will get leg twist with wear - if you don't like leg twist, do not buy these jeans
-
@bluemantra it's not exactly like the 526L it has another effect, first of all it doesn't shrink at all, it's not so strict but rather more comfortable in my opinion, on paper it's the same denim but it doesn't have the same roughness
-
@bluemantra Of course it is thinner than the XHS but it will maintain more stiffness, but as I wrote above not at the level of the jacket, I don't know why but it's not the same, at least in my opinion
