@goosehd I was drinking a drink called a Jamaican Kiss which is Tia Maria,Cream and Wray and Nephews. My girlfriend was getting them from the bartender because I was tooo drunk to walk. Meanwhile the bartender thinks the drinks are having no effect on her and keeps making them stronger. Jamaican weed was involved as well. It wasn’t pretty.

That sounds wonderfully refreshing. Would be great too with a splash of soda and/or some lime.
Starts to make me think about making a Hemingway daiquiri with Wray and a bit of grenadine instead of the marschino liquor....hmmm.Has anyone else played around with acid adjusted juices?
Been working on one cocktail that my wife's dubbed the "Electric Painkiller" that adjusts the orange juice to lime that's completely ruined us for any other painkiller. -
@pechelman It kind of tasted like a rum punch…and thank you for the suggestion of the lime and/or soda. I’m going to keep working on this one as an afternoon drink on the hot summer days.
Cheers!!

@goosehd your welcome
i grabbed 2 bottles when i found it because in the past it has come in and then disappeared for 2 years. but i also got super into tiki cocktails and it's probably the best for when you need something with that Jamaican funkcan 100% relate and agree with this
If I could have only one overproof Jamaican rum on the bar it would be smith and cross. -
@pechelman Splash of soda was a welcome tip that is working perfectly!! Cuts the sweetness a tad and makes it extremely refreshing, especially with todays hotter temps (85-87f.)
Thank you

@natehate That’s pretty much impossible to find in my neck of the woods,at any price. Curious as to what you paid for it. I consider Eagle Rare to be one of the best bourbon values out there. Recently got a 10yr single barrel/store pick of Elijah Craig for $35. Felt like I was stealing.

@natehate Where I live stuff like that never even makes it onto the shelves as the liquor store owners give priority to their best customers and friends. Once a year one of the stores near me sells all the Buffalo Trace Antique stuff for list price,and people camp out over night to get it. You’re only allowed 1 bottle,and they cut the line off once all the bottles have been accounted for. Last time I bought Pappy 20, I paid $75 and thought that was expensive in 2006.
