The Great Outdoors - Hiking and so on…

@Scasi Thanks for the recommendations! Although I don’t expect us to have much left in our thighs after Java & Sumatra
So it’ll more likely be us strolling around the city from cafe to cafe, enjoying the architecture, doing photography etc… - which Singapore is not the worst place for from what I’ve heard? So you guys actually wear shorts? Thought it was XHS & 21OZ only. Uh wait, they can be chicken legged right?
Jokes aside, we’re really looking forward to the warmer temps! -
Nothing better than hiking with cool friends who are locals that know their backyard - very well. Most of the spots were closed a few days ago so we had most of the NW park to ourselves.
Bears are a plenty, especially right after the snow thaw.

@weftyarn LOL don't get fooled with the IG post of them wearing the heavy stuffs! But if you are indoor, like the mall, shorts or berms will be a bit too cold. I always have friends from overseas saying our indoor air-conditions is set too low!!!!
yeah the photography part will be nice for you, check out the national gallery

from here, you can have a great walk and into bars and cafe! -

@T4920 Oh wow, what a stunner!!
We actually thought about Flores and Komodo but I guess we have to save them for the next time. There’s just so many islands and beautiful places I can’t wrap my head around it.
We’ll spend some time on Sumatra though. Lake Toba and Gunung Leuser NP is the plan. Let’s see how it goes

Morgan and I love backpacking. We’ve heard of the rifugio huttes of the Dolomites and had to include them in our honeymoon trip of Italy. They most certainly did not disappoint.
Now, I understand that there are much more technical fabrics to hike in. Fabrics that are lighter, more water resistant, quick drying, and all around better for long hikes. Sure I knew my new wife would tease me the whole four days of our hiking trip. I didn’t wear my SBGs for the style. I didn’t wear them for the practicality. I didn’t wear them out of ignorance (or did I? ) So why in the hell did I wear these black, 21oz denim beasts for four days, 7,000 ft of elevation gain, through snow, sun, rain, and odd looks from other hikers…
I did it for the fades!
