IH-888SBR-14od - 14oz Broken Twill Selvedge Denim Medium/High Rise Tapered Cut

@weftyarn it’s amazing right mate! Looks good on you man

For all the lovers.. i would like to speak about my first impressions with this denim after a few weeks of wear(will add photos later) like @weftyarn also speaks about this denim is soooo soft right out of the bag wich is a huge plus for these warmer days. The broken twill pattern in a OD kinda denim is looking fantastic especially on the high wear areas wich start to show some fades. The typical sheen and with the weave of the broken twill is just nuts.
When i first pulled them out of the bag and threw them on it was some getting used to, in a good way due the softness and the way they drape also it was my first touch in a 888 wich fit my amazingly well.
Photo’s won’t do it’s justice cause OD is just hard to capture on a picture but the sheen, the broken twill weave and that it is OD’d makes this a huge winner!
Also it’s fun to mention that it is my first IH 14oz.. but definitely not my last and i could everyone advice to try them.
You will be cuddled be the softest pair of over-engineerd denim ever. @Alex big thanks to you and H for dropping this amazing pair of denim!
-
@Choko did you already got them in mate?
-
@T4920 will do
-
First time wearing these. Can’t wrap my head around how soft these are. Definitely worn in 21Oz level of comfort but straight out the box. All that with a substantially lighter overall feel. Definitely breathable too.
And the OD color is amazing. I see me dressing these up for casual business meetings a lot as long as they keep the color.
-
@Heavy_blue they’re pretty damn soft. But I’m too fat for them right now so I need to lose some weight to wear them lol
-
Some proper fit pics. It’s interesting to see how different the fit can turn out depending on fabric and run. These definitely run a bit slimmer through the leg than my UHR &
21Oz which compliments the fabric imo. -
First signs of wear

@weftyarn we always seem to buy the same pants. Ever since that last post I’ve gone a low carb diet and my bloating has gone down a lot so they actually fit pretty damn good now. Can’t wait to wear these. I’ll post a fit pic soon

Everyone's pairs look so good! I'm super close to pulling the trigger... looking at the measurements (and considering I primarily want them for these hot ass days) I was thinking of going from 34 to 35 on them. Did anyone else size up at all or just go with your usual 888 sizing?
-
@trivsdotcom I went for my usual size and they’re perfect. You will absolutely love these pants. It’s the softest denim I’ve ever felt

@Choko That’s so true haha. I was literally thinking the same when I saw you in this thread too.
Glad to hear you starved yourself back into this pair! Can’t wait to see fit pics.
@trivsdotcom I also went for the same size (34) as my other 888s (21OZ & Ducks). Totally happy with the slim fit but I have to say the SBRs are the ones I could probably get away with upsizing to 35.

@Choko the things we do for denim…& health

Traveling today. These are the most comfortable pants I have from Iron Heart straight out of the bag. They almost feel like they have stretch. 100% recommend! -
Excellent @Choko
Wore mine today too -
I bought a pair of these a few weeks ago in the same waist measurements as my beloved IH-888-XHSib and they have been awful to wear. It feels like I’ve got a rash or sunburn on my stomach where the top of the jeans rest against my skin, it’s unpleasant enough that I don’t even like wearing them. There’s no visible rash or marks on my skin, but it sure feels irritated. I don’t believe it’s size related, they are almost identical to my XHS and those NEVER had issues like this.
Any ideas? I’m truly baffled. I have a ton of IH denim including an OD jacket, none of those bug me. I don’t get how these could be far less comfy than my 25oz….. -
@nrtphotos Have you given them a wash? Maybe you're sensitive to the overdye?
I have the overdyed broken twill work jacket (which is great ) and haven't had a problem, but a jacket won't have as much direct skin contact. Personally I have somewhat sensitive skin (and react to certain detergents etc), but I've never had a problem with anything from Iron Heart.
