Tattoos

Phew! What a session. About 5 hours or so. Claudio was a fast worker with a steady hand I’d say! What an incredible tattoo shop in Rome. Nicest people ever. Super talented the lot of them. Morgan and I couldn’t be happier with the work and treatment we received.
Fronte del Porto Tattoos if you’re ever ever in Rome.

@Mizmazzle very nice tiger! That looks absolutely ace.
-
@Mizmazzle I’ll start by saying I know nothing about tattoos but I really like the tiger. Dragons are always cool but tigers and elephants seems to be a classic combination in other art forms - like this bronze by Genryusai Seiya (sadly not mine). Could translate into a tattoo?

Continuing to add to the second layer. Got this one from Josh Davis on a trip to Tampa to see Misfits & Megadeth last weekend.
-
@jskidder nice man!!
Also, Misfits and Megadeth! That’s a cool and interesting lineup. I’ve seen both (separately) and they were so so good. More recently The Misfits. Glens first run back with the rest of the crew. I was blown away how good they were.
Megadeth I saw about ten years ago at a pretty small venue. Liked Megadeth…Wasn’t a big Dave fan until that show. I was really taken aback by his humbleness. His playing was out of this world. He won me over!

More blackout...this is the primer for white ink to come next on top. See the quick drawings the artist came up with. All in the name of Satan. Hail.
It may be hard to tell from the photos, but this demon head will take up a large portion of my inner and mid thigh. Football sized.
I also got touch ups on my blacked out arm. All the sweet spots that feel so good. Wrist/palm, inner shoulder/armpit, elbow, and all over my inner and behind my upper arm. Absolute torture over scar tissue. Hated it! But I hated the grey spots that healed poorly last time and look forward to seeing my sleeve completely black when it heals.

Got this fun little blastover from my good buddy Miles at Lakewood Electric when I was passing through Cleveland on Sunday.
-
@Oaktavia Will be really interested to see how Satan turns out. Hail Satan.

Man every new post is making me itch. My artist had some health issues and we had to cancel my last session. Hoping he can tattoo again…not sure what the shop will do for me considering I’m at half a finished back piece
-
@iammortalcombat that sucks! Hopefully your guy will make a full recovery and be able to get back to your piece. If not, if it were me, I’d be asking for him to release his drawings and personal recommendation for another artist working in the same style who could pick it up.
-
@Oaktavia I've always been curious about blackout sleeves. For you personally, were you trying to cover up older/regretted art work, or did you just have this vision of white on black that you wanted to go through with?
A little bit of both. I am sleepy and would like to revisit this response.
Edit: the most recent blackout was a cover up crappy tattoos I got a long tome ago. I like the idea of layering tattoos over time. Plus I love the darkness the black ink provides.

Don't know how I missed this thread. Been working on a body suit for years now. Had to take a break from my new 888s for a few days while my left leg was healing up last week!

Been meaning to add to this thread and when I saw leg sleeves I figured I better chime in.
This one is in progress, just had more work done yesterday.
One more session for some details and last minute pieces to finish.
