IH-526Lod - 19oz Left-Hand Twill Selvedge Denim Type III - Indigo Overdyed Black
-
Not sure about the new batch of the OD jacket but onnthe older batch i took the same sixe as UHF
-
Wearing my new 526LOD a few minutes at 33°C+ just to capture a shot.
Picked an L, just the perfect right sizeHere's the 526LOD compared to a Reloved 526J I recently purchased.
The 21oz has no side pockets: I like the style better, but the inner sides of the of the hand warmers are so handy (no pun intended). Can't say which one I love best; I'll love 'em both link I'm bigamist!
-
@alexpupin No better Type III combo out there!
-
@alexpupin Thank you for the comparison, they both look great!
As @AdamJ says, a great pair.I actually have a 526Lod on the way. (And just got the 526L, which is great after a hot wash). I couldn't deny the bulletproof logic of @Daniel-San: "Don’t think too much, buy "
Love the OD stuff, and dig the shorter, classic denim jackets, and I don't think I could have resisted a 526Jod right now, even though the number of jackets is getting a bit silly. I think I may be able to resist getting the 526J, we shall see.
-
@JunkPants if it's any consolation in the last year I have taken a 526PJ 21oz, a 526J-SLBOD, a 526L, a 526L OD and an Extractor should arrive tomorrow. ... always if my partner doesn't decide to choke me in my sleep
-
@Luijim78 Haha, thank you, that does help a bit
Great set of jackets there! -
@JunkPants thanks mate
-
This came…..
Impeccable as expected
Graham at IHUK was awesome!
-
Didn't get a full season out of this last year due to the heat, so I'm looking forward to putting it through the ringer this Fall/Winter.
Had about ten weeks of daily wear and one wash.
Some slight marbling on the back (washed on low spin rather than no spin) but I think it adds character.
-
@T4920
did you soak before the wash and turned inside out ? -
@Daniel-San yes and yes, with the lowest spin cycle my machine allowed.
Will do no spin next time, and just deal with the laborious drip-dry! Too impatient, that's my problem...
It's all good, still love the jacket, and marbling becomes less pronounced with time.
-
Marble good

Mine arrived yesterday. Its fits perfect everywhere except lower rib area ( mid button) were it's just a bit snug. It's T shirt or Chambray shirt for underneath, which is pretty much what I wear anyway. I love it though, can't wait to break it in.

So I’ve wanted one of these for ages, but timings have never been on my side. Finally pulled the trigger on an XXL, fully expecting it to potentially too big. However, XLs will almost certainly be too small to layer a UHF/Hoodie under which I intend to do, plus XLs are out of stock. What say you guys on the fit:
Fastened, over a UHF:
Open, over a tee:
General fit pic:
It’s very comfortable from the off (although buttons were near impossible to fasten ). I’m not one for super trim fits and prefer a little wiggle room - I’m just curious what others think out there. Too big?
Fabric is bananas, plus it creaks!!!
-
@jerkules I think it looks pretty great. Bit of room
To be comfy. I think once it breaks in and drapes a bit more and loses the touch of boxiness it has it will look even better. Especially since you want a bit of room. Looks good over the tee though too in my opinion. Not oversized at all. But like @T4920 said, could go smaller if you wanted, but would lose that comfy size over a UHF. -
Thanks for the affirmation @T4920 & @Mizmazzle . I found it hard to size this as I have no similar jacket to compare it to. I just went "slightly bigger" in chest/shoulder dimensions than I would for my ideal UHF. It's weird 'cause when you've been coveting something for so long (as I have with this jacket), the excitement upon getting one makes you a bit blind to what it actually looks like and how it fits.
As an aside @Mizmazzle, did yours ever arrive, or is it still inching closer?
-
@jerkules Good to hear! Rereading your post and seeing that you prefer a little wiggle room, I think you definitely made the right choice with the XXL.
As much as I love my slimmer fitting one, it's definitely a case of form>function..
Like Miz says, once it breaks in and molds to your body it'll really come into its own! (Just don't expect it to drape anytime soon, mine is still rigid and creaky after 3 months wear and a wash)
