IHSH-366-IND - 8oz Herringbone Hickory Stripe Work Shirt - Indigo
-
@ARNC @Mizmazzle the shirt looks great on you both. Did you go for your usual IH shirt size?
-
@IrishHeart thanks! I’m usually a large in work shirts, rarely an XL. I stuck with my regular size L for this one but asked the crew to pick me one that was below the published measurements at the opening. This worked out perfectly for me.
Although the measurements look a bit bigger than usual on this one, the fabric drapes nicely and I think it’s more forgiving than a stiffer/heavier fabric. I’d be cautious about sizing down unless you’re at the lower end of your usual size.
If you can make the sizing work you will not regret getting one of these!

@T4920 thanks man! That was super helpful. The fade will be cool cool to see in time. But honestly didn’t buy this one for the extreme fade potential. Just love the weight and fabric. Gonna be a great Autumn weight.
@IrishHeart yeah I agree with what @ARNC said. I went with my normal size large. I actually meant to try a size Medium while I was at Berkeley Supply. But I put the large, my normal size and it fit great. Kinda wish I tried the Medium just to see. But I measured the Large when I got home and I guess I got one slightly smaller than the posted large measurements all around so it worked out perfectly. Also, even if if shrinks a touch upon washing it will be even better.
-
@ARNC that’s really helpful, thank you.
-
@Mizmazzle the shirt looks the perfect size so I think you were right to go large. With the Thanksgiving and Christmas on the horizon it’s probably best not to go too fitted!
Thanks for your response. -
Right out of the "box", as anticipated, this fabric has a really great hand to it!
Here are fit pics of Medium:
I think the Medium fits great, except for the the forearm. On my IHSH-274-IND the forearm is 32cm, on the IHSH-366-IND it's 28.4cm & 29.0cm. (Forearm measured 22cm up from sleeve opening.) I'm contemplating moving up to a Large however think the shoulders will be too big, might have to ask if the IH crew can check the forearm measurement on the remaining Mediums.

For those who are interested here is a comparison of the 12oz IHSH-274-IND and this 8oz IHSH-366-IND:
Do I regret owning both? No, they are different enough; I really really like the insides of both, which are visibly on display when the sleeves are rolled up. If I could only buy one I would have to pick the IHSH-366-IND due to it's weight and hand.
-
@GreatDenimFan Thank you for sharing, and fuck you for sharing...
Now I NEED both!
-
@GreatDenimFan I can’t tell what the forearm issue is from the pics, but overall the fit looks great. I suspect that the L will be too big for you but no harm in asking the IH crew (they have a habit of working miracles).

@ARNC said in IHSH-366-IND - 8oz Herringbone Hickory Stripe Work Shirt - Indigo:
@SKT thanks! The cloth is amazing in hand - I don’t think anyone will be able to resist this once they’ve copped a feel!
This is exactly what happened to me today at my favorite local store.
I didn't think I needed another hickory stripe shirt in addition to my IHSH-07-IND. But this one feels totally different and is perfect for the fall months. I love the texture of the stripes and the soft but dense fabric, a really awesome shirt!
-
@AtariHunter I love it when something ambushes you like that!
-
Thanks @Bailey for taking care of me on this one. Can’t imagine this not being added to the continuous production line
-
@flannel-slut nice bro! This shirt is picking up steam!! It’s such an incredible weight. Think I’ll wear mine tomorrow!!

Out in the wild… This shirt feels just fantastic, such a smooth fabric!

@Mizmazzle I caught an arctic char, not a herring.. bone, but glad to hear we are Herringbone Brothers!! The shirt is a gem. So light and tough at the same time. The bone has bite to it. And the char is tasty. Cheers
