The Great Outdoors - Hiking and so on…

Day 2 in the Dolomites - we did the Via Ferrata 'Pisciadu, said to be the most done route in the Dolomites. Fortunately it's October, and a weekday, still some traffic but very nice. And we're lucky with the weather ...
The altitude difference of the via ferrata only was 530 m, quite a lot and long for my old and untrained body, but I managed to get up there.
Views were stunning, obviously. -
@Mizmazzle we planned to do a tour from Refugio to Refugio, but most of them are closed now. So we have a nice little Hotel with a sauna, pure luxery but good for the old bones.
Where did you go when you were here? Did you do via ferrata tours?

Day 3 of the Alps porn, and our last one here. Weather still unbeatable, us a bit worn out. But we used the day and did another wonderful hike and climb in this divine surrounding.
Here I'm pointing at the summit of Monte Averau. We actually managed to climb up there, not on this face but on the much easier back side.

I spent between 4 and 5:30 pm keeping tabs on who visited my feeder and water station in my yard. This is my partial tally because 5 other species did show up but left before I could get a pic. Enjoy…

Love these shots and information @motojobobo keep them coming! I’m a really big fan of Stefano Ianiro on YouTube. He’s a Canadian wildlife enthusiast. These shots and info remind me of his work. I’m really happy to see this here!

@Andymac whoa!! what is that bear wearing a cheetah tuxedo?!?!

@Andymac beautiful shots buddy! Super sharp, all of them. Tripod or monopod? Don’t tell me handheld…I’d have to start weeping.
Super glad you enjoyed them @Fadez ! I’ve been doing this type of wildlife pics for years, just for fun and kicks. Find it very relaxing just waiting for a nice, clean pic. I’m more of an observer of nature, so I mostly concentrate on getting as clear a view as possible. Not very strong on composition aspects.
I’ll pick another off-day and hope the weather collaborates to fire off some more pics. Around home I will get another suite of bird species for variety. I typed the common names in spanish because I also shared them with local friends.
Never looked at Stefano Ianiro’s work, thanks for the tip. -
