1955S - 21oz Selvedge Denim "1955" Straight Cut Jeans - Indigo

If you want exactly that, the 633 from Self Edge is it. Would have to order from the US though, not sure if that’s a pain in the ass and/or expensive.

@popvulture I agree they are like 501 from the same era, but totally different than a modern 501 my thigh won’t fit in a modern 501 size 34

I'm basically looking for a slightly tapered 634. Is it that?
@endo I think I would say no, if you love the rise on 634s
I would say yes if you ok with high rise the 1955 definitely have more taper from knee to hem. Just keep in mind the knee is a little fuller then 634

For me rise is one of the most critical measurements., IMHO 1955 would probably be a risky purchase for you, unless you just want to try them on.

Like a size 34 634 is 11 FR, and 15.5 RR, combined rise 26.5
1955s size 34 13 FR, and 16 RR, combined rise 29.
The combined rise is why I love the 1955, instead resting on hip bone I can get the waistband up above my hips which is more comfortable for my body type. I have small glutes and the 1955 also prevents me from getting the dreaded diaper but.
I say give them a try, IHUK has the best return policy in the business. It will cost you 35 USD to return if the don’t fit they way you like.
I would love more IH fans to buy these so they could be in more regular production cycle.

Hi @AdamJ reckon it may be possible to get the 1955 added to the impressive colour-coded Cut Comparison Chart at some point?
