IH-634-PIQ - 14oz Cotton Piqué Straight Cut Jeans - Ecru

These are perfect! Really interesting texture and comfortable right out of the box(bag), seem quite breathable. Pardon the wrinkled shirt, it's our first 100º day and when these arrived it warranted an all white outfit change and this was what was sitting in the dryer.
Would love a jacket to match these but I suspect they'd look good with the White Type III...

@october-rust got me wanting a pair with to wear with sole black Vans…
-
@jerkules I suspect you'd pull them off great! I can't commit to truly all white so usually have to do black shoes to break it up hah
-
Oh my oh my.. all sizes are available except my 38.. seems I have to wait again for these forever..
-
-
I took a flyer on purchasing these. Not my normal cut and not denim. Couldn't be more pleased I did...

Tempted to grab a pair of these. Interested in hearing how the fabric feels. Is it soft or crispy like denim? Any rigidity to speak of?
Pretty soft from the start, they feel like a twill to me- very comfortable right away. I got seemingly zero stretch out of them so I do wish I would’ve maybe sized up but they’re great in the summer! I definitely recommend them, especially at the slightly cheaper price point.

Super helpful thanks @october-rust , I’ll look to size up if I grab a pair

If I had it to do over, I would’ve gone up 1. I guess just personal preference, but i wish my pair were a little looser(again more comfortable in the summer when they got the most wear). They’re really cool though, I think you’ll like them!
-
@october-rust this is how I feel about my IH-730 chinos. They’re just a teeny bit too snug in the waist and thighs so I don’t wear em as much as I’d like. In fact I’ll probably sell them to fund the purchase for these. Anyway the feedback is most appreciated

So are folks upsizing? My size (33) is out but 34 is in. Thinking about copping….

I of course already pleaded my case up above, but I feel like 33 in most IH jeans would eventually stretch to 34 measurements in most areas, and I just didn’t notice much, if any stretch in these! I personally think the 34 would be fine, and they’re a really great pair. I’ll probably reserve mine for the warmest days of summer but I’m happy to have the variety of them in my collection.
-
@Anesthetist I just grabbed a pair one size up (35) from my usual (34) and it should arrive tomorrow.
I'll wear solidly for a few days and report back the before/after measurements.
-
@jerkules thanks man

@Anesthetist I can conclude that @october-rust 's assessment is pretty spot-on. I've worn these daily for the past week and have seen no stretch. I've been pretty active in them too.
I'm a big fan of them and have yet to find anything in my wardrobe that they don't look great with. Shirts, jackets, sneakers, boots, birks - all look good. The fabric is lovely, I wasn't sure what to expect but in typical IH fashion, they're better than I imagined.
-
@jerkules good to know on the sizing, thanks for confirming what the folks above also said.
Can you elaborate on the fabric? How does it compare to say 14oz? Do you think it wears cooler?
-
@Brandrea I’m yet to try IH 14oz fabric, so cannot comment on how this compares. Also, the weather here in the UK is pretty mild (~15C) at the moment so I’m yet to wear them in warmer temperatures. I would have to report back when the temperature picks up, but who knows when that’ll be…
However the pants do feel their weight and the fabric is pretty robust. They have a good drape and hold their shape, there’s a bit of rigidity, while the surface itself feels like a nice twill. I’d really recommend them, especially given the price.

@jerkules thank you for this …. Pondering .
