Bit of a random one but hoping someone can help! I absolutely love this jacket but I don’t love the way the drawstrings hang out beneath the jacket. Can anyone recommend a specific knot that could wrap up the string nicely and not show anything beneath? Or can the string be taken out altogether?

@americanathreads You can remove them, yes. If you undo one of the knots you can pull it through the other side

@EastClintwood It’s a boutonnière and fits into the female side of a button:

I have to look and see which GAH boutonnières IH has in stock, but it would be a separate purchase you could add onto your N1. You might also look at other retailers to see which ones they have in stock.

How often do I need to redo the waterproofing ? It says to use an iron but what kind of temperature ? Direct on the oiled fabric or using an fabric between ?
Winter is coming and I don’t want to fuck up !
