Watches - another OCD problem

All the feels on that one.
-
Wonderful
-
It’s got to feel so good to floor this humble seeming gent with that information.
-
@Molle got any king seiko? I’ve got the itch for a first model J14102…
-
@68degreesorless only two at the moment (plus a few King Quartz from the 70s when the King Seiko name was not used).
A vintage 449990 from the early 60s and the SJE083 (re-issue from 2020).

That one is so nice.
This one is related, but not the same type of emotions involved...

@Molle very nice - those are beauts!
I think I gotta have the gold version and that big 'king seiko' text up top
-
@68degreesorless that is a great one. Go for it!
-
Found an Omega AD a few days ago and tried these on. Really digging the Speedy
-
The black/black seamaster is a favourite of mine, very well executed. One of these watches that is difficult to photograph and looks better in person.
-
@Cole well done!!
-
@Cole they do have lume tho
-
@Anesthetist I know, but there are a lot of twilight scenarios (no, not the greasy vampire ones) where the lume does not kick in enough to make a black / black or black / grey watch readable.
My Seiko Shikamaru is a nightmare, even though I expect Omega to use a better lume on a 10 to 15x as expensive watch.
On the toppic of the Seamaster PO, that thing realy is a beauty. It wasn't the most reasonable decision to buy that beast, but I will certainly not regret it.
-
I could live with the black / black seamaster quite happily even with a compromised legibility point of view.
I really like how they have made the wave textured dial shine on the raised facets.
A very interesting watch. It is one I have been debating over for a while to add to the collection.
Without owning one it would be difficult to comment further on the 24hr legibility of the piece.
-
I am also a huge fan of the all black Matt ceramic Bulgari Octo Finissimo. Another watch where the legibility could be seen as compromised.
That particular finissimo has highly hands and hour markers to make the dial both subtle and readable.
Maybe I just have a thing for black black watches. Luckily these watches would not be a sole piece in the collection.
