Molino 55 in the house
And here’s my case with a couple years of use
-
@Danimal506 dope dude!! I’ve got the Molino 55s as well and love em!
-
Zephirin 47. On a work call on a ski trip that’s been months in the making so forgive the resting pissed face
-

In Manchester at the Seen opticians. Molino 55 work for me. Whisky and Agar versions.
-
Awesome @ddtrash the Molino is my favorite frame

Decided entering my 4th decade on this earth I need to up my glasses game since I wear them 24/7 and been with Tom Ford for 5 years.
So I snagged the MANTUA in argyle as my everyday opticals and the LANKASTER in Agar for my sunglasses. Wife grabbed the Picabia in beige 2 (that pair is gorgeous). Once I got the Mantua I knew I needed some sunglasses. It really is hard to wear another brand once you've experienced JMM. I was pretty set on the Molino, but the Lancaster worked really well with my face shape. Wesley were a close second. Good times.

@JerkStore I recently got prescription lenses in a pair of Julien's and the person working told me they were the nicest quality glasses they'd seen in their 10 years working there. I feel like every time I buy a new pair the price has gone up a bit, but I am itching for a new pair for the summer...
-
Saw this pair in DSM ginza but I don’t see it on JMM’s website. I’m guessing their purely opticals because a search bring up a lot of prescription optical websites
-
Those look good @louisbosco.
I'm tempted by the Full Metal Jacket, I'm not sure if I'd go with the silver (pictured) or black version. The size is good for my prescription, but perhaps less good for my face, they look a bit bigger in this selfie due to the camera angle.
I also like the Diana, which is a bit too similar to the ICU I currently wear. I would get them in the black and chrome combination, then swap out the lenses for Transitions Style Mirrors.
-
@Graeme I went back and got it. honestly fell in love the moment I tried it on. just didn't want it to be an impulse purchase.
those full metal jacket looks good on you. honestly, selfies don't do glasses justice
-
@louisbosco I'll want to check the Full Metal Jackets again, because they seemed a bit narrow the first time I tried them. They're pretty close in size to my current pair, but the hinges are slightly smaller.
They're also horribly expensive.
What I do like about them is there's a slightly rifled pattern on the front of the frame, you can't see it in the photo.
-
@louisbosco I also think that the Full Metal Jacket in black would look good on you. Your eyebrow has a bit of an arch to it, and I think that those frames would sit nicely with that.
-
Really love the new Burlwood scheme. Amazing looking acetate
-
Got the Lankaster back with my rx lenses. Really like this pair. Bonus pic of my wife’s Picabia.
-
I tried on the Earl in Pacific today. They were lovely, and they would made me look like The Rock if I had enormous biceps and a bad spray tan. But I've got a -6 prescription in my right eye, and even though they've got a thick frame, the lens would be horrible.
I got talking to the assistant about dogs, because there was a Toy Poodle running around the shop, which was quite cute. (Note to shop owners: pups improve the retail experience.) I showed her a photo of a friend's dog, Libby, who is a Cirneco dell'Etna, a very rare sighthound from Sicily, and she recognised the breed. She wanted to get one, but no-one was breeding them in Australia. That's due to change, so I might have pre-sold the first of the planned litter.
