I thought Night Country was great. Wasn’t super in love with the finale, but I still enjoyed it. As a series overall, fantastic.
Been meaning to check out Fargo, heard nothing but good things.

My wife and I finished Fargo season 5 last night, absolutely brilliant, so thank you to anyone who recommended it above. Season 2 was my favourite TV for a long time and after a relatively slow season 4 we were a bit reluctant to start season 5 but so glad we did. As has been previously mentioned, Juno Temple and Jon Hamm both fantastic and Jennifer Jason Leigh stealing every scene she’s in, spat my beer out a couple of times at some of her lines highly recommmended.

Paula and I tried and Deadloch, could not get on with it. If you want something pretty gritty, watch Save Me (Sky), my brother-in-law directed it, (well, the first 6 eps were) and I may be biased, but I thought it was amazing. Paula will not watch it after I told her the premise.
@jett , one of my favourite uses of the word fuck was by Phillip my Bahamian bonefishing friend (who sadly died of Covid, stuck on one of the Bahamian out-islands with zero care). He saw an absolute monster of a Bonefish cruise onto the flat we were fishing, and all he could mutter was ,"Fock me to tears, look at the size of dat"

Agreed with @Matt that finales are hard. Agreed with @Tago-Mago also. That show got the ending its brilliance deserved.
They’re all modern classics, but Breaking Bad and Mad Men both had good finale’s. I also love the last episode of The Wire, despite the final season not quite maintaining the standard.

You’re not alone in thinking that. IMO you can clearly tell when they ran out of source material and had to make it up themselves along the overarching story arcs they apparently got from George Martin. The show was on a downward trajectory and crashed and burned with the final episode

Just started Ripley on Netflix last night. so far its really good! Its beautifully shot tooanyone else started it?

@jiminstitches - I have. Loved it. Slow, brooding but full of tension. Yes, Andrew Scott is far too old to be Ripley but that aside, he is great in the role. Watched all eight parts in one day.
