SaturdayTypeFever - Sashiko Blazer - Indigo

And an s & xs.
-
Well I can wear a medium or a large in the UHFs...I went for a Large in this, in the hopes that it can be worn as a light jacket and over some heavier things and then as a looser blazer in the late-spring. Fingers crossed that I chose well. The measurements turned me off the medium...

I’m just torn about the upper pocket. Like it dresses it down a notch too much. Otherwise, take my money.

@Skelly-0 @John-Galt Will be looking at introducing more sizes, but kept the run small to gauge interest in this kind of piece first
-
@steve Great to hear - so looking forward to getting the indigo as a minimum in either an S or XS depending on the dimensions - can’t wait, but I’m assuming it will be some time till those sizes are released. A great wardrobe addition! Thanks!

Got it; love it. Pics to come. This will work well for me to dress up what is frequently perhaps an overly casual look while working at a university in a hot, very humid environment (a lot of 6.5 and 7.5 oz tees with shorts).
-
Please make some big guy sizes in this one.
-
@Horsecart no definitive date yet, but it is being worked on...
-
Holy Mary Mother of God I love this!!! @Steve please, please, please, make this in small?!
-
@ShaymenFX @Horsecart @BrianA @John-Galt @Skelly-0
I have a rerun of the blazer due in start of September with additional sizes (S, M, L XL, XXL) -
@Steve Great to hear - so hoping that the size S dimensions work - thanks!
-
Ooh excellent! Thanks Steve.

I'm currently searching for a simple and good quality Sashiko Blazer, but can't find a single one that could fit me.
I hope that the next run (which is hopefully restocked very soon) has a small size that has smaller shoulders, bigger chest and shorter overall length as well as shorter sleeve length. Wishful thinking, I know
Edited to add that these would very nice to have in black and brown additionally to the Indigo.

@cityofdelusion Have you considered buying one close to your size and having it tailored to fit? I know I've had issues in the past with jackets/blazers and a great tailor can perform magic with their skills.

@goosehd For almost the price of this blazer (maybe 150-200€ more), I would be able to get a two-piece, made-to-measure, 100% wool suit or five made-to-measure 100% cotton dress shirts. I've ordered the latter before and it actually worked out really well and the quality was surprisingly good/not bad. But to my knowledge, those kinds of websites don't offer textured fabrics like Sashiko and in this specific case, I can't wait a minimum of four weeks that it would take them for the production and etc.
Long story short: Buying this blazer for a comparable price as the aforementioned custom-made clothing AND spending extra on then having it tailored in multiple areas, messing with the integrity of the original product and design in various ways is a bit of a huge turn off. It's also one of the reasons why I either buy anything Iron Heart if I can be as sure as I can that it'll fit (making sure to measure, comparing with existing, similar clothing etc.) or not but at all, hoping for the next run to fit better or whatever may be the case.
